Chapter 9: My turn

Akari's POV

"The sun is already setting! WHY ARE THEY NOT HERE YET?!" I yelled out in anger, my eyes glowing purple, my neck had the Scorpio Zodiac sign. I was prepared to let them suffer for taking my friends.

"Woah! Talk about anger issues..."

I turned my head. "COME OUT!" I yelled.

Then, as cliche as it is, a man from the shadows came with his hands up like a surrendering motion. He used one of his hands and let down his hood. He had dark black hair and eyes. He also had a sly smirk.

"Tik, tok, tik, tok." He said, like he's a clock or some sort. I looked at him weirdly.

"Tik- ha.. ha... haha... Haha...HahahaHAHAHAHA!!!!!" He laughed maniacally as he throw his head back.

He looked into my eyes with a glint of playfulness in his eyes. "gotcha." He smirked.

"Wha-"

Black.

Darkness.

The hell?

Oh well

First mission.

And I already fucked it up.

I should've know it was a distraction.

???'s POV (A/n: the guy who said 'gotcha'. Weird huh?)

I smiled evily. "Good job, for a newcomer." I complimented.

They were the ones that we just captured from the girl. Two of the Asahi twins, one of the royal Vermillion. I faced them and they didn't made any movement.

I groaned. "Damn. Sometimes I forgot you guys are hypnotized. At least talk a bit." I spat.

"Of course. What would you like to talk about sir?" They all asked simultaneously, it was beyond creepy if you ask me.

"Okay okay okay!!" I yelled out as I raised my hands up. "On second thought, just- don't. Don't talk." I mumbled, weirded out.

They're just like zombies.

"Hey, flame boy. Make a portal to the base, quick." I demanded. The said boy didn't hesitate and made a fire portal.

"Not bad for a ki- royal. Of course...I'm quite forgetful these days." I said as I walked towards the portal.

I turned to the hypnotized mages. I gave them a look. "Well? What are ya waiting for?! Twins! Carry that sack and go into the portal! And Fire boy, get in and keep the portal open!" I said, annoyed.

They all nodded in unison. I went through the portal first as I catched the incoming sack, the sack had the Celestial mage in it. The others walked into the portal and fire boy closed it when he walked through.

"H 3483, you done your job?" C 3739 asked, he was my partner. I rolled my eyes.

"Of course," I said as I tossed the sack to the twins. "What do you think this sack is? Shit?" I asked, note the sarcasm.

C 3739 shrugged. "Maybe. Who knows what's wrong with your life." He said. I growled then took a deep breath.

"Haha. Very funny." I muttered. I shook my head. "Now it's your turn of the job." I said as I clapped my hands.

The three hypnotized mages then walked towards C 3739. He rolled his eyes.

"Alright, come on, zombies." And just like that he was out of my sight.

I rolled my eyes and walked away.

C 3739's POV

I grumbled. It's been quiet. And I dislike it, wait. No. I hate it.

"This is why I hate K 2973's magic..." I whispered under my breath.

K 2973 was like the first in command here and here. But of course, we have someone called he big boss. He had a magic called 'Hypnosis'. It was known as lost magic but he had grimoires from his family. Odd enough, he can open all of them. He has 3 grimoires in total.

"Stfu, you asshole." The boy with red tip haired said, he had a pretty blank expression for such hate in a
sentence.

"Woah woah woah, look here, you zombie. Who told you to talk to me like that?! I'm the bes-"

"Come again? Excuse you if I'm using my- what do you call my creation? 'Zombie's? Uh-huh horrible name. I rather call them Hypnotized-Experimented-Magic-Worked, or HEMW, for short." So it wasn't the boy talking... It was K 2973.

I rolled my eyes. "How do you even say that? H-E-M-W? Hem-witz? Hem-wuah?" I joked.

He growled. "Ugh, just, are you here or what? I'm really impatient here!" He yelled.

I placed my hands up in a surrendering motion. "Just waiting for you to end your gagging. So, can me and the 'H-E-M-W' go now?" I asked placing air quotes.

The boss/the zombie boy rolled his eyes. "Just get on with it. I'm very impatient." He said.

"I know." I said smirking, knowing that the zombie is back and boss is gone. I threw my facade and placed my blank look.

We arrived at the dungeon and I greeted the two guards that were on shift. The twins then took the Celestial mage out from the sack.

"Red eyes, make some metal chains or sumtin around the girl to keep her from escape. The big boss says to make her suffer." I ordered. The said girl then went out doing what I told her to.

"Good. R 3964, R 3924. Guard her. Do not let her out of your sight. Big boss' orders." I said. The two guards nodded and had their grimoires floating beside them.

"let's see how long it's gonna take wake you up, princess." I muttered.
