Comforting things, a list:
lilacs and apple blossoms peaking through my bedroom windows, gently waving in unfelt winds
Lazy silence—cars on the road, birds, overheard conversation, the clink of silverware, the creak of floorboards
A messy bed—blankets, pajamas, books, stuffed animals, a baseball hat, and myself, perched on top, presiding over it all
That old Wii console from 2010 or 12... I feel small when I play on it now
A bookshelf— Lord of the Rings, Anne of Green Gables, The Wind Boy, Dandelion Wine, The Magician's Nephew
