Chapter 17: Captured

You and Riku face Demyx as he begins to strum the string on his Sitar, creating more clones and sending them your way. Riku holds oit his hands and you jump on them, then he throws you high into the air. You spin around and slash at the ground, creating a slash in the shape of an X towards the group. The vanished in a burst of water, and you immediately went after Demyx himself.

A flash of fear went across his face, but he quickly shook it away.

Demyx: I'm not gonna back down now!

He blasts towards you once more and meets your attack. As you tried to push the other back, Riku jumps up and kicks him away.

Demyx: Dang, forgot that you were here. No matter! Soon, the plan will be complete and you will have no choice but to return to the Organization!

He summons more clones and sends them towards Riku. Demyx once again meets your Keyblades in a clash. What you didn't notice was that the strings were facing him, allowing him to play a few notes. Once the notes were played, a pillar of water shot up from under you, sending you flying into the air.

He jumps up and spins his Sitar around before hitting you back into the ground. You crashed and created a crater.

Demyx: Looks like you ain't in rhythm.

You get up and point the two Keyblades at Demyx.

Y/n: Fira!

A large ball of fire launches towards him and a fear once again flashes through him. He quickly dodges the attack but you immediately follow up with a second one and jump up, following it. He turns and sees it and hits it with his weapon, dispelling it and revealing you were behind it.

You knock Demyx back with a hit to the torso with the two blades and he crashes into a building. The time of your Oblivion Form ran out and you went back to only Fate Rebellion.

Y/n: I was hoping for a bit more time, but I'll be fine with just this.

You run towards him and he gets in his playing position.

Demyx: Get back!

He plays a series of notes and a wall of rushing water appears in front of him. He begins to walk towards you. You remember Roxas talking about this attack and it being one of his most devastating attacks. With that in mind, you run up the side of a building and try to get behind him, but he sends a few water bullets at you and knocks you away.

Before he could get any closer, Riku, who just got done dealing with the water clones, came up and hit him with Dark Firaga. His Water Wall drops and he looks over to Riku.

Demyx: You are so annoying! That's it!

He begins playing his Sitar even harder, and he dances around.

Demyx: C'mon, stick to the beat!

Multiple pillars of water spew out of the ground and forces you and Riku closer to Demyx. Once you both got near him, he hit the both of you with the Sitar and called down more Water Bullets on the both of you.

Riku: Dang it.

Y/n: I don't understand, he usually isn't this powerful. There has to be some reason why he's trying this hard.

You suddenly gasp as a thought went through you.

Y/n: Unless a higher up is here. And the only one who can scare anyone more than Xemnas is...

Suddenly, Bobble's voice is heard as she is dragged out by a man with blue hair, an X shaped scar on his face, and a claymore held in his hand.

Y/n: Number VII, Saïx. The Luna Diviner.

Saïx: So your the one who Xemnas wants back. Hmm, I wonder why.

Riku: Wait, he doesn't know you, but you know him?

Y/n: I was given information about all the members, but Saïx here doesn't care about anything if it doesn't concern him or his mission. But most importantly, unhand Bobble, Saïz!

Saïx: Only if you agree to return to the Organization.

Bobble: Don't listen to him, Y/n!

Y/n: I'm not going to come back to the Organization. Just let her go!

You rush at Saïx and try to force him to let go of Bobble. But he lifts up his Claymore and effortlessly swings it, hitting you and causing you to crash through a building.

Bobble: Y/n!!!

He walks over to your unconscious body to grab you and take both you and Bobble back to Xemnas. However, before he could get to you, Riku came up and hit him away.

Riku: Not this time Saïx.

Riku opens up and Corridor and throws you through, closing it.

Riku: Now, let go of her.

Saïx: Hmm, alright if you insist.

He opens a Corridor of his own and throws Bobble into it.

Saïx: Oops.

The two then take their stances.

Saïx: Demyx, go to your position. Sora could be making his way to the castle now.

He nods and disappears in a flash of light and dark. After all distractions were put of the way, the Riku and Saïx stare each other down before launching at each other.

You wake up sore, your whole body aching as you forced yourself up. You looked around, trying to get your bearings, but you have no idea where you are. All you see is a barren wasteland, mountains and large pillars of stone as far as the eye can see.

Despite this, you walk forward, wanting to find someone who can help you. After walking for what felt like hours, you come across what appears to have been a large battlefield. Hundreds upon hundreds of rusted Keyblades impaled into the ground. When you walk into the center of the field, a strong gust of wind blows, and a new figure is revealed. Clad head to toe in armor, kneeling in front of a Keyblade and a cape waving in the wind.

?: You... why have you come here?

Y/n: What?

?: No... you aren't the one I chose.

Sensing a small sense of hostility, you summon your Keyblade.

?: A Keyblade? Who are you? I sense something within you. A power I felt before. Where is he? Xe...ha...nort... is that you?

Before you could answer, the hostile feeling grew heavier.

?: Xeha...nort... Xehanort!

The armored being lifted himself up and grabbed the handle, pulling it out of the ground and taking a fighting stance.

Y/n: Can I get a break?

You take a stance as well, having a feeling that this will probably going to be your hardest fight yet.
