You and Luke arrive at the doctors office and walk inside. The two of you walk up to the receptionists desk.
YN: Hi, I’m here for my appointment
Receptionist: Okay, here you go
She hands you a clip board and pen.
Receptionist: Fill this out and take a seat in the waiting area. We’ll will call you when the doctors ready to see you
You smile and walk over to the sitting area with Luke. You start to fill out your basic information on the clipboard. Luke isn't talking when you fill out the sheet. He just sits there quietly, looking around with his hands on his lap. Once you finish writing down your information you place the clip board on your lap and wait to be called.
Luke reaches over to you and holds your hand.
Luke: You okay?
Y/N: I’m okay, nervous. But okay. How are you doing?
Luke: Yeah, I’m nervous too
You take a deep breath and squeeze Luke’s hand.
Luke: It’ll be fine, We’ll be called in soon
Y/N: Hopefully
After five minutes of waiting a nurse came out and called your name. You and Luke stood up and followed her into a room.
Nurse: Just take a seat, the doctor will be in shortly
Y/N: Thank you
You took a seat on the table with paper on it. And Luke sat on the chair next to the wall. You and Luke were just silent. I guess neither of you had anything to say. But then he spoke.
Luke: So are they just going to check if you and the baby are okay?
Y/N: I guess so. I don’t know what else they can do. It’s still pretty early
Luke: Yeah, yeah. That’s true
The doctor came in the room.
Doctor: Hi I’m Dr. McGarth
He stuck out his hand for you to shake. He glanced down at his clip board.
Dr. McGarth: And you must be Y/N
Dr. McGarth turned around to sit at his desk and noticed Luke. He shook his hand and smiled.
Luke: Hi. I-I’m Y/N’s boyfriend
Dr.McGarth: Well okay, Y/N. I’m just going to do a few tests on you
Y/N: Okay
…
After all the testing was done Dr. McGarth told you and Luke the results.
Dr.McGarth: Well, you defiantly are pregnant. And you and the baby seem just fine
Y/N: Thank you Dr. McGarth
Dr.McGarth: It’s no problem, I’ll see you back soon for another check up
You and Luke walked out of the doctors office together. He opened the passenger side of the car door for you.
Luke: I’ll drive home babe
You kissed him lightly on the lips.
Y/N: Thank you Luke
Luke: It’s no problem
Y/N: Not just for driving home, but for coming with me today
Luke: Y/N I’m going to be at every doctors appointment with you
Y/N: I love you
Luke smiled and kissed you check.
Luke: I love you too Y/N. Now lets go home
