*Inside Car*
Kim and Kevin are in their cruiser, enjoying doughnuts and coffee, when a call comes through the radio.
"B2113, come in."
"Go ahead." Kim answered.
"Multiple reports of gunfire at 17th and Morgan Viaduct. Shots came from the first floor."
"10-4. En route." Kim replied as a more familiar voice joins in.
"5021 Voight, plainclothes officer responding to the call as well. I'm a few blocks away." Ana informed.
*Crime Scene*
Kevin, Kim, and Ana arrive at the same time. They greet each other and enter the building.
"Out the back door." A man pointed them to where they needed to go.
The three exit through where they are told, and find two paramedics taking care of a gunshot victim in front of their ambulance.
"What do we have?" Ana inquired, walking up to them.
"Hit in the chest. Bullet just missed the heart." One paramedic informed.
"Any other victims?" Kim wondered.
"Just a witness." The other paramedic pointed to an officer questioning a young lady at the end of the alleyway.
"Oh, my God." Ana breathed. "Lexi!" She called running over to the girl, who latched onto the woman as soon as she was close enough.
"You know her, Sergeant?" The officer asked, knowing full well who this woman was.
"Yes, I do. She's the daughter of one my detectives. We'll take it from here." Ana assured as the officer nodded and walked away.
"Hey, are you okay?" Kim asked as a car rolled up and the mother of the gunshot victim came out of it.
"I saw the shooter." Lexi answered as Ana rubs her back.
"What did they do to my baby?" The mother shouted as she was stopped by a few officers and Lexi whimpered.
"Come on, lets head back to the station." Ana suggested as the three lead her over to their cars.
*District 21: Bullpen*
Ana was comforting Lexi at Alvin's desk as Hank walks in. Ana pats the girl on the shoulder before standing up and walking over to her husband, who's looking at the girl with a concerned look.
"She's okay. She's just in shock." Ana assured.
"Sounds about right." Hank sighed.
"Henry, what happened last night?" She wondered.
"Stillwell ambushed me during a meetup with Maurice. Arrested him and me. Said he couldn't wait any longer." Hank explained.
"Figures." Ana sighed as Hank walks over to Lexi.
"Hey, how you doing, kiddo?" Hank smiled.
"Hi, Uncle Hank." Lexi greeted as Alvin and Adam walk up the stairs.
"My God." Alvin exclaimed, walking over.
"I'm so sorry, Dad." Lexi sobbed as the two hugged.
"What happened?" Alvin asked, pulling back.
"I was at a party." Lexi replied.
"Until dawn? Does mom know you're here?" He questioned.
"Yeah." The girl answered.
