A monster not hidden by shadow or myth
Normalizing the greatest of sins
Tearing down castles and breaking gold wings
At this game the world wins
Stars that shimmer don't hold the answers
A pale round moon only serves as hope to a fool
The weight of thousand unshed tears become the ingredients of her daily bread
She saw your smile
And the infant became the warrior who took the dragon's head
Although the world breathed fire
The heat searing, eating away at all her dreams and desires
Your laugh brought light to her dark corner
So she stood tall and she stood brave
Knowing full well that your love shield her
She let the flames of the world take her
