"Do you think they're doing fine?" He asked for a 100th time
"I already told you, I don't know. It's chaos outside, I can't talk to anyone." I sighed
We're stuck here in an emergency room, it's been four or three hours since Beomgyu's surgery and apparently he still can't walk. They put a cast on his legs, his lower body is fractured, almost impossible when we saw his x-ray
The doctor said he might need a physical therapy for him to walk again
Surprisingly he's calm about it, "Why are you so chill about this?" I asked curiously
"Well, you're here. That's all I can think about right now, aside from that I'm more glad that you're safe." Although he's not looking at me I can feel the sincerity from his voice
Suddenly, we heard a commotion outside.
"Beomgyu! Where's my son? I will kill all of you if something happens to him!" I heard a woman's voice
Beomgyu's eyes widened he told me to come near him which I did, "Just stay close to me,"
"Why?" I asked but the door abruptly open revealing a woman in her late 40's breathing heavily
"Mom," he called, so it's his mother
"Beomgyu, what have you gone yourself into?!" She ran towards him and check his face and body
She accidentally pushed his legs causing him to flinch and scream in pain
"W-what is this?" His mother asked violently
She glares at me making me step backward, "Huh, another Shin? I knew it,"
She knows me? But this is the first time I saw her
"Mom, not now!" Beomgyu emphasizes but her mother didn't budge
She walked towards me and gave me a slap on my cheek. Wow, I didn't expect that
I clicked my tounge in annoyance, how dare her.
"Mom, leave!" Beomgyu growled, he's now glaring at his mother
"Your father will know about this, both of you are just the same," She pointed her fingers at me as if blaming me for what happened to her son
"I am not like my father, I am not a killer!" He yelled while clenching his fist
I can tell that he's already mad
"That's how bussiness works Beomgyu! You will get out of this place tomorrow.... you'll go to your grandmother until you're ready enough to replace your father's position," She said authoritatively
She glared at me for the last time before leaving.
"Sorry but your mother's a bitch," I spat out as I sat to a chair next to him
He was in silence. He was just staring when he told me to come closer
I sat on the bed and faced him when he suddenly reached for my cheek
"It's swollen already," he sighed
"It's alright I can take this, why is your mother like that?" I asked rolling my eyes
"I'm sorry for what she did, she's always like that." he sighed again
"How did she know my name?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion
"It's better if you don't know," He started taking out something from hid pocket
He took out a necklace, "Hey where did you get that?"
Instead of answering me he told me to turn around
I did and he put it on me, I can feel the coldness of it.
"I'm supposed to give you it the day before they all started going missing but I didn't got to. I hope you'll take care of it," He smiled genuinely
My lips curve a smile, I liked it.
"I hope you liked it," he said still wearing a smug smile on his face but I can feel the sadness. Why?
"I love it. Why are you giving me this?" late to ask but I wanna know
"You're still stupid," he laughed as he started messing with my hair
"Hey, not my hair. Deadass." I slapped his arms away
Suddenly, I started feeling tired. I can feel my muscles twitching, I forgot that I haven't slept well for two days. My body is aching so much. I fucking hate Bang Chan.
"Imma sleep here with you," I yawned as I approached the sofa near the hospital bed
"Shall we change beds?" He asked but I only shake my head, my eyes are getting tired, I just wanna sleep
Seconds before I can completely fall down in a pit of darkness I heard Beomgyu say something but I don't get what he means
"I guess this is a goodbye, Ryu." he softly spoke
The next day I woke up in the bed where Beomgyu was last night.
Where did he go?
I saw a paper on the sofa, it was pretty visible. The first thing I saw when I stood up is that paper.
Out of curiousity I decided to check it.
It's Beomgyu's handwriting. I don't understand it at first but.....
It was nice meeting you. Thank you for being such a good friend, Ryujin. I guess this will be the last but I hope, I really hope we'll get to meet someday. Remember that I will always, truly, delicately support and love you from afar :)
