Chapter 23

"First, you say you won't then you say you will,"

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Taehyun woke up because of a heavy feeling on his arms.

His eyes slowly fluttering open as a dark ceiling greets him

The lights are off and he can't see anything other than he can feel someone hugging his arms

He took his phone out of his pocket, he rubbed his eyes as he open his phone screen

It reads 12:10am, which means they fell asleep in Beomgyu's condo

He opened the flashlight and a sleeping Soobin greeted him on the other sofa, his mouth wide open and a blanket on top of him

He then realized why his arms are hurting because of the girl sleeping beside him

It was Chaeryeong sleeping peacefully while hugging his arms.

Their position is quite uncomfortable since they are in a single sofa and  sleeping in a sitting position

Taehyun slowly stood up trying not to wake the sleeping Chaeryeong.

He successfully stood up without waking up the latter. He tiptoe towards the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth

As soon as he finished, he look for the others. He already know the route inside Beomgyu's condo since they're always drinking there in weekends. Except for Kai though he isn't the type to drink just because you want him to

'Where are the others?' Taehyun asks himself

Only Soobin and Chaeryeong are in the sofa and the others are nowhere to be found

He headed to Beomgyu's room but it was locked. He supposed they're sleeping already.

He then headed to the tearrace and found them hanging out there, playing some music while drinking different alcohols

Yeonjun is wasted, he's singing and dancing Yeji while Yeji's stopping him. Yeji looked irritated yet he's not leaving him behind

Huening Kai on the other hand looks depressed and in dazed

And Lia is just laughing because of the two

Everyone's a mess, Lia looked tipsy so is Yeji but Hueningkai for the first time is drinking.

Taehyun was about to stop him when he realized it's his favorite grape juice.

He sighed before approaching him.

"You good?" Taehyun asks Kai as he sat beside him

Kai flinched as he smiled to the boy

"I'm alright," Taehyun noticed Kai's forced smile

Even still he didn't asked. Taehyun drank the first beer he saw and drank it, he induced Kai but the latter won't budge

He's loyal to his grape juice.

After a couple of beer, Taehyun felt a bit dizzy. The alcohol has reached his head

Kai is still beside him including the others

Lia is sleeping on the chair, her head dropped down to the table. Wasted.

Yeonjun's on the floor he keeps on whining to Yeji who's trying to lift him up. Both wasted but Yeji's doing her best to stay awake

It's 3 in the morning. The cold breeze passing by Taehyun's skin gives him a chill down his spine.

Suddenly, the door swung open revealing a newly woke up Soobin and Chaeryeong who's behind him

Soobin's eyebrows are almost meeting as he walk towards Lia. He kneel infront of her trying to wake her up.

Chaeryeong on the other hand walked towards Taehyun

"You drink?" She asked

Taehyun nodded as he closed his eyes and lean towards the girl, his head on her tummy

Chaeryeong was shocked. She was shy but knowing that no one's looking because everyone's busy with someone she started to wake Taehyun up

"Wake up and get inside, why would you drink if you can't handle yourself?" Chaeryeong started scolding the boy but he's not listening, maybe because he's busy observing the girl's facial features or he's just too drunk to listen

Chaeryeong helped him stand up but because of dizziness they almost fell down the floor

Then Beomgyu appeared with an irritated look on his face

"Kai why aren't you helping them? Aish, they are too noisy that Ryujin woke up." Beomgyu irritatedly said

Kai didn't say anything but he started moving and helped Yeji with Yeonjun who's still whining like a kid

Beomgyu helped Chaeryeong by pulling Taehyun's shirt and carrying him on his back

Beomgyu took them to the guest room, he told Chaeryeong to take care of him which she didn't mind

"My body aches when I woke up and now I have to take care of you," Chaeryeong's still talking to the boy, thinking that he's already asleep maybe it's time to confess her feelings

"You know, I thought after all those years it's still Yuna. But, then you came and started making chaos inside my head and my heart. I was confused at first but after awhile it became clear. I just used the excuse that I love Yuna to forget you. You were such a douche for rejecting me that time, it hurts though but I'm glad to say that it made me realize why you did that. You started giving me motive so I thought you like me too but turns out it's Kai. I still like you Taehyun and it never fades. You won't probably remember this by tomorrow but that's alright since I chose to confess while you're drunk." Chaeryeong chuckled to herself

She started tracing his face using her eyes when Taehyun suddenly woke up and grip her wrist

Her eyes turn wide, shocked.

She doesn't know what to feel. They just stare at each other.

10 seconds.

Ten seconds of a defeaning silence that she felt her heart beating off from her ear

"I like you too," He said while smiling.
