Chapter 13

SOOBIN's POV

"Lia, you okay?" I asked her worriedly, we both look into each other's eye before I decided to confront this man infront of me

Beomgyu took Ryujin out of Lia's clasp and went out first while me and Lia are left with these people

"And who the fuck are you?" He asked boastfully

I smirked, trying to act tough is the main reason why people get into an undesirable position, and I am one of them. Why did I even agree to Taehyun?

Suddenly, the man infront of me hung his arms on Lia's shoulder. Lia flinched and I can see her hands trembling. I can feel my blood boiling inside

"Get you filthy hands off of her!" I shouted, no one's witnessing what's happening in our spot because they are busy in their own doings

The man took me by the collar and tried to pull me up but failed. I giggle uncontrollably, I'm taller than him and he just tried to do that trick, wtf who wouldn't laugh?

My eye smile probably pissed him off, he raised his fist on me and was about to land it on my face when someone emerged stopping him.

The man quickly let go of my collar and went back to their seat while me and Lia are left, she almost plopped down the floor but because of my quick reflexes I catch her on time

Her shaky eyes and heavy breathings didn't get out of my sight. I nodded and smiled at her, assuring that everything's fine.

She's wearing a waitress uniform which means she really works here. But she looks like she was forced to work here. She's not comfortable at all with the surroundings

"Let's go,"

Lia told me that her shift hasn't ended yet but I still get her out of the suffocating bar. A chilling air greeted us as soon as we got out, it's almost 12 in the morning.

Beomgyu and Ryujin aren't quite far from us, they seems like they're fighting again. Ryujin is shouting and Beomgyu is letting her

We approached them both, Lia is still in my clasp. She felt weak because of the commotion that happened inside

"Yuna! I love you!" Ryujin shouted as we get near, she's damn wasted.

I gaze at Beomgyu and I can see a glint of pain in his eyes, I know how he feels.

"You can let go of me now," said Lia, her breath hitched for no reason but I still let go of her waist that's hanging on her earlier

"Ryujin, come with me and let's go home, now!" Beomgyu calmly told her but she's shaking her head

"NoOoO! Let go of me, I need to see h-her," Ryujin left out a hiccup, we all got shocked because of the sudden change of emotions, tears started to fall down from her eyes down to her cheeks and chin

We never saw her cry back in the days, even in high school.

"I-i need to tell h-her that I'm s-sorry!" Ryujin sobbed as she calms down, Beomgyu is hugging her while rubbing her back

Minutes later Ryujin stopped sobbing, that's when we realized that she fell asleep.

Beomgyu chuckled, it's been forever since I last heard his laugh. I'm just giving them a warm smile, Beomgyu whipped his head to my side while Ryujin is still sleeping in his shoulders, and they're botth standing in the middle of the parking lot, behind the bar Lia's working at

"Let's go," he mouthed which I nodded in response

I went back to Lia who's standing just behind me. The chilling air brushing on our skin will freeze me to death and Lia is wearing a short skirt with a sleeveless top

She must be cold

I decided to give her my coat and guide her towards Beomgyu's car. She told me a thousand times that she still have to get back on her work but I shake my head.

"No, you're not going back there!" I exclaimed while my eyes darted off somewhere as Beomgyu is not saying a single word started the engine of the car and immediately drove off

Ryujin is in the passenger seat while me and Lia are on the back

"What?!" she shouted, a hint of disagree can be heard from her small voice

I smiled at her and nod, "You're gonna work in our coffee shop from now on, it's safe there and it's near our University. Unlike here, you're not safe," I scoffed when she didn't say anything

I don't know why I did that, maybe because she's my friend and I'm worried for her safety. That's all.
