Italics will be English. Regular text is in Japanese until or unless I say otherwise.

Also, the hero names of the squad will be the English. There won't be a Japanese translation for their names, even if they aren't in italics.

Being the oldest, Noriko had naturally agreed to lead the team on this mission. Not only that, but she was the most skilled in Japanese. Even if Izuku knew it, he hadn't actually lived there for eight years, and talking to his father in the language every so often wasn't the best way to stay sharp.

So, in the end, they had all agreed that Noriko should lead the group, and if (god forbid) anything happened to her, Izuku would take her place. Although, Izuku had a feeling he would just be more of a translator if anything happened, seeing as the other three tended to act as overprotective older siblings. Not that he minded too much, as long as they knew he could hold his own on the battlefield.

As they got off the plane at the Musutafu, Izuku took in the city that used to be his home as he stretched his wings and itched at the scars on his face. He had gotten them in a fight a little over a year ago. The four long lines stretched from his forehead down his neck, stopping on his chest. That hadn't been a great day.

His friends all knew about his history here with the people. When he spilled his story about how his powers manifested, he had started from the very beginning, including his childhood friend, Bakugou Katsuki. Because of course he had to be in 1-A.

"How are you doing?" Billy asked from next to him.

They were all in their normal clothes, Izuku wearing his favorite shirt. Idie had even done her hair in a series of braids on her head before they left.

"I'm fine. Come on, we have to get to U.A. before school lets out." He directed them toward the train stop where they bought tickets to the stop closest to the school. Although that still meant they had to make their way up half of the hill to make it to the prestigious school. Izuku's old dream school.

If he could do it over again, he would have chosen to go to Xavier's school every time. He made irreplaceable friends and accomplished his life-long goal of becoming a hero. What more could he ask for?

Once they finally reached the school ("For the last time, Billy, I can't fly you all up the hill because I can't carry all of you. Just deal with it."), they made their way to the principal's office.

The (dog? bear? mouse?) principal directed them to a locker room area where they could change into their costumes before introducing themselves to the class. The four separated into two groups to head into their respective locker rooms. Izuku finished first and headed out, leaving Billy to finish changing. Noriko came out next, followed closely by Idie. A few minutes later, Billy came out, hastily shoving his head-guard over his hair, smooshing it down.

"Oh my god. Billy, you look so stupid." Idie teased, walking over to fix the guard so his hair came over the top, rather than being squished beneath it. Billy just blushed at her teasing, crossing his arms as a pout came onto his face.

"It's okay, we're used to it by now." Noriko assured, looping an arm over the taller boy's shoulders.

There were ten minutes to the last bell as they made it to the classroom. That was fine. They didn't need long anyways. Plus, it wasn't like anyone would be late getting home since they all lived in dorms.

"Alright class," The teacher, a man who looked like he didn't want to be there at all and was at least ten years behind his sleep schedule, called out to the class. "From now on, Class 1-A will be escorted by a group of pro heroes at all times due to the influx of villain attacks lately."

Everyone stiffened at that.

"Alright, come in." He gestured to the door, which the four walked through. The class noticed that each had an 'X' somewhere on their costume. "These heroes are from America, and will be keeping you safe until we can get a group to stay here for the foreseeable future."

"Hello everyone, I'm Surge. This is Oya, Wiccan, and Catastrophe." Each waved and smiled at their name and the class stared. These kids couldn't be much older than them, yet they were pro heroes. The green haired one even looked their age, despite the large scar across his face.

"What, they couldn't send us real pro heroes, so they sent the fucking baby squad instead? What even are your quirks?" The resident explosive boy voiced their thoughts, albeit, in a way much more rude than any of the other student's may have asked in. But the sentiment was still there. Why had they sent these kids not much older than them, if they were older at all?

They missed the way each of them flinched at the mention of quirks.

All of them had been told to play along with having a quirk, seeing as telling the world about mutants would give hope to quirkless kids out there when only a very small percentage had the X-Gene but not the quirk gene. That didn't mean that they loved being asked about their quirks. After all, each of them had been bullied for being quirkless at one point or another, and Izuku was facing his aggressor right at this very moment.

"Ah, yes, we probably should have included that in the introduction. I apologize, er, what was your name again?"

Izuku couldn't help but revel in the pure rage on Katsuki's face at the idea of not being known.

"Bakugou, calm yourself." Shouta warned from where he sat at his desk, watching this whole thing go down. He could somehow feel the smug satisfaction coming from Catastrophe. He didn't comment on it, though. No, that was above his pay grade.

"Ah, Bakugou. Well, we can go down the line again and explain our quirks. You're fine with that, right Surge?"

The blue-haired girl nodded before she began explaining her quirk.

"I absorb electricity from around me and discharge it from by body, but without these gauntlets, I'll absorb too much and it will go haywire and beyond my control."

Idie demonstrated her's next, her right eye glowing blue as the left glowed red. She lifted her hands as the left caught fire and the right was soon encased in ice.

"I can manipulate the temperature of an area to such a degree that I can create fire an ice." Suddenly, the ice on her hand melted and evaporated away, only to be replaced with ice as the fire flickered out and ice covered the hand.

Wiccan stepped forward after, his hands glowing. "I can use and cast spells that I make up myself."

Izuku glared back at Billy as he stepped back. He could've at least explained the reality warping part. But, no, he just had to be mysterious. Izuku will get him for it later.

"I have wings, as you can probably see." He chuckled before continuing, "But the main part of my, er, quirk, is that I can control the bad luck of any thing, person, or animal." He explained simply.

"Oh come on, that's even more boring than Mr. Mysterious over there," Bakugou yelled, gesturing toward Billy.

Izuku could see the teacher beginning to get up from his seat and tell off his student, but no one insulted his friends and got off scot free. This was his punishment to dish out, and no one else's.

"Well, to demonstrate," Izuku's eyes glowed white for a split second before there was a crack from where Bakugou was sitting before the legs of his chair gave out and he fell from his desk. "It would be terrible luck if your chair legs were to break and you were to, I don't know, fall on your ass, now wouldn't it?"

Even their ever-stoic teacher smirked at the display. The fellow students weren't as kind. Most laughed, even as they helped him up from his spot on the ground.

Maybe this wouldn't be terrible, after all.

---

Yo, I couldn't help the urge to hand Katsuki his ass. That'll probably be about as bad as it gets seeing as the bullying wasn't terrible when he was six, but bullying is bullying. Either way, we got to see exactly why 'bad luck' can be such a catastrophic power.

Get it? ...Okay.
