Nini's POV:
The entire drive to the audition I felt like throwing up. But I know deep down that I'm as prepared as I'll ever be. If this role is meant to be, then it'll work out.
Practicing the scene with Ricky really helped a lot, being able to bounce back and forth instead of saying my lines to myself in the mirror.
I can only hope that I'm what the casting directors are looking for.
Ricky's POV:
Today's the day of Nini's audition. I hope it goes smoothly, and she gets the part. I can't imagine anyone being more prepared than she is.
I have another meeting with my manager, Ashley, today. We're going to be releasing the tour dates for the European side of the Do It All Again Tour, and I'm so excited. I can't wait to start performing again and traveling internationally.
We've planned concerts in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Scotland, Ireland, and Denmark.
"So, this is the photo you'll be posting later today with the details for the tour." Ashley says, showing me a photo from my album cover photoshoot. I nod.
"This is going to be a huge step in your career. Most artists don't go international for their first tour." She says, setting her phone down. I grin. I can't wait.
Nini's POV:
As I wait in the waiting room with the other girls auditioning for Aliyah, I feel faint. I squeeze my hands together as a poor attempt to distract myself. My phone buzzes, and I look down to check it.
Ricky is so supportive. I think I believe in myself, too, hopefully as much as he does.
There aren't many people waiting, but I know that many people probably sent in video submissions because it's not worth it to travel all this way to the first audition if you're not what the casting directors are looking for.
But luckily for me and the other girls here, it's close by.
"Nina Salazar-Roberts?" A nice looking young lady says as she enters the room. I stand up from my folding chair and smile at her, and she waves me over. She immediately starts walking me into a hallway, without speaking. I clasp my hands together and take deep breaths as we walk.
She stands outside of the closed door that I am about to enter. "I'm going to return to the waiting room. Once the girl who is currently auditioning finishes, wait for one of the casting directors to let you in." The lady explains. I nod. I'm too nervous to respond.
She leaves, and I stand beside the door, trying to calm myself down. I tell myself that I've done plenty of auditions, and I'm very prepared. It helps.
