Petróva's POV:

He didn't say anything. His features remained neutral.

His hazel eyes didn't scan my face, they barely stare back at mine. As I held on to his broad shoulders, I noticed that his skin is cold–too cold to be a living being's skin.

"I'm sorry..." I whispered, but he didn't replied. He merely helped me to stand up and cleared his throat but not moving an inch to step away from me.

I smiled and offered him my hands, he stared at it and his eyes shift from my hands to my face with his brows raised
"I'm Lea, what's your name?"

Still, he remained silent.

Though, this time he seem to hesitate to answer–as if finding the answer to my question. I furrow my brows and intently scanned him with my wondering eyes. I also noticed how his companions are uneasy to the situation.

Maybe they're in a situation?

With a defeated sigh, I brought my hands down and gave his companions a forced smile. "thanks for the burger anyway..." I said quietly. I sent the nameless man with his black hair a short glance and he didn't spare me a glance to my own. I turned again to his companion and bid them good bye.

After taking a couple of steps away from them, a loud noise erupted the entire building. It was so loud that I have to crouch and cover both of my ears, causing the burger to fall on my grasp, but I didn't care.

Everything looked red and the people are running around in full panic. Some people are falling down and others are unintentionally pushing people to the side that caused them to be in a heated argument. Still from how I crouched on the marbles floor, I whimper on the scene unfolding before my eyes.

Moments after, I saw the group who which I was talking to earlier. The blonde man aproached me and assisted me to stand up meanwhile the others scurried passed us.

"are you ok?" he asked urgently and I nodded, "look, I can see that you're a nice person and I want to stay it that way for now...you have to stay safe."

"what? What are you talking about?" I asked in a deepest furrow of my brows. He sighed and looked to the corner of the vicinity.

I also scanned the area and the once lively atmosphere is now fulled with chaos as how the people panic and yell at each other.

One moment after, I was dragged in the same corner that the blonde man and his company had gathered. I gave him a wondering look and he paused to meet mine for a second. "I'll see you soon" and he ran off.

Information decided to not sink in as I continue to gape at the scenario unfolding before me. I crossed my arms across my chest and heaved out a sigh.

"seriously, humans are very complicated than what they seem. I guess Simeon and Wilheilm suffered on dealing with such people..." I said to myself, but stopped when I realised that I have left the island without anyone knowing.

My mind went back to where Rhei was doing something unusual to me. One moment he tried to protect me and the next day he decided to make me confused of how exactly is he doing it. As for Wilheilm, I don't think I see me of what he thought of me back in the days.

If ever he did, I guess everything wouldn't be like this. In my own perspective, finding his mate changed him. It's not like I blame Felisha for being found, it's just the thought of Wilheilm changed, that's all.

And then there's Simeon...he may not look like much, but he can be pretty handy.
