Petróva's POV:

"did you see me doing all those moves?" I asked eagerly to Elizabeth as she on the other hand is patiently combing my hair at the back, as I flail around as I spoke, "I did this, and that, and—"

"yes, yes I already get it. I was watching the whole thing" Elizabeth timidly said but I know deep inside is she is fuming in annoyance. Though, the excitement and happiness of me actually beating someone overruled.

"I'd never think that the day would come of me actually beating someone! Let alone Jacob!" I thrilled to myself.

"I only gave up because you're stubborn to handle" said a new voice to the vicinity. I draw my eyes towards the mirror and there I saw the reflection of the entrance along with Jacob leaning on the frame, "in other words, I won"

"booo...don't be such a party pooper!" I whined and pouted. "...it's just me being determined to beat the crap out of you, that is all"

"aow, look at you..." Jacob cooed as he strutted towards Elizabeth's bed which is near to where we are, "learning how to speak the way of the mortals. Aren't I a proud parent"

"that makes you a terrible one" I responded in a flat tone. I watch him visibly flinch as he sat on the bed and I heard Elizabeth stiffle out a laugh.

"say that once again and you won't see the daylight again"

"wow! Jacob is absolutely a perfect parent! He raised me to be a bad mouthed girl and he is proud that I am gradually being a rebel" I forced out and he nodded in his seat.

I mentally rolled my eyes at his antics. Elizabeth patted me on my shoulders and I saw my self along with my hair that is now being tied in a half-way pony tail as braids are dealing the purpose of it being secured in place. I specifically requested Elizabeth to put my owned hair ornament that I have been unconsciously carrying around since my island escapade.

The ornament is none other than a genuine two-inches golden molded gardenia flower that had a simple silver gem-like rock, securely placed in the very center of it. If being shined by the natural ray of the sun, the shine on the gem reflects on the petals and that the shimmers on the petals reflects each other.

Funny, that it only shines by the ray of the sun, and aside from it being a silver gem, its glowing blue like a lone sea vast.

As I stared at it much longer, I consciously touched it and the realization of Rhei giving this to me on my 16th birthday hit me like a thousand bits of bricks. I haven't realized that up until now, I have missed my island so much. And all this time, I have been carrying a part of him with me. The threat of my tears falling like a mad waterfalls is brimming in. I gulped in some of my breath and I sighed deeply as I feign out a smile.

"it's wonderful, just how I like it. Thank you" I whimpered. Elizabeth looked at my face through the mirror and she sent me a sorry look.

She knew all to herself that I have been missing home all this time. The nights that we spend in this tent didn't passed by like nothing. Every occasional nights, I would accidentally wake her up by me crying out of loneliness or the nightmare of my pack not wanting me anymore.

She is always there to comfort me and tuck me back to bed or be the crying pillow that I needed. I raised my face towards her and in return Elizabeth rubbed my shoulders in a comforting manner.

On the contrary, I saw Jacob scowling by the edge of the bed. I sighed defeatedly, knowing what's about to come.

"you look hideous" he noted briefly.
