Gem's POV:
Caleb walked in front of me and I ran to him laughing. The sun was shining on his face. I embraced him and held onto him. He smelled like flowers. Caleb looked down at me at first smiling, but when I looked at him he looked disgusted. He pulled out a gun and turned the other way and shot Tobias, then Tris, after he pointed the gun at me. Tris and Tobias had came from know where. I screamed at him. "Caleb! What are you doing? No!" I screamed at him. He pulled the trigger as the leader of Erudite, Jeanine, walked up behind him.
"Gem! Wake up!" Tris screamed with her whispers.
"What?" I looked around and recognised the small, dark, bed filled room. It was a dream. I sighed with relief.
"Come with me," she grabbed my arm and dragged me with her. I saw the same Erudite woman as before talking to someone I couldn't see.
"Jeanine has upgraded you I see. Then you will help us take down these awful children and kill the divergents! You will be the one to kill the girl we know as Gem," the woman laughed.
The boy's voice sounded so familiar I just couldn't get a grab on it. Who could it be? I didn't know anyone who was close to Jeanine. Kill me? What have I done?
I dragged Tris back to the room and sat in the bed ready to jump up when Tobias came in.
"Tris, you cannot tell anyone about this. Not even Four or anyone of the initiates," I stared at her until she nodded.
"GET UP YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES TO MEET ME AT TRAINING!" Tobias screamed. I jumped up and followed him.
"Hey, To- Four. Can we talk, later?" I asked. Tobias ignored me and walked away. I walked into the training room to see a girl sleeping on the ground. No not sleeping. Lying, dead.
