Katherine awoke to a breeze filling the tent with the smell of cherry blossoms. She opened her eyes and her face reddened as she realized her head was on Peter's chest. Looking up she watched as petals blew around forming a human-like figure. Peter, who had now awoken, drew his sword which had been next to his bed and pointed it towards the figure. His grip on Katherine's waist tightened and she felt her face grow hot.

Edmund who had woken up to the sound of Peter unsheathing his sword, stayed frozen in bed, looking between Katherine, Peter and the dryad in shock. The dryad's form solidified a bit further so they could see the women's mouth moved as she spoke.

"Be still My Princes and My Lady, I bring grave news from your sisters."

Katherine's eyes widened and Peter lowered his sword as the three exchanged a look of worry before turning back to the dryad as she told them the news. She gave them the outline of what had happened and Katherine had shuddered in fear and sorrow. Peter had held her as the dryad had spoken and only once she had finished the message and exited the tent did they make a move to get up.

However, due to their legs being entwined, as they both tried to get up they only succeeded in tumbling off the bed onto the floor. This earned a groan from Peter, who had landed on his back and a gasp from Katherine who had lost her breath in the fall.

"I'm sorry-" she had muttered breathlessly as she untangled her arms and legs from him. Now blushing profusely, she moved her hands either side of Peter to push herself off when she noticed how close they were.

She could feel his breath lightly fanning her face and as she looked up at him through her lashes she was reminded of how beautiful the colour blue was. His eyes locked gaze with hers and she could feel her heart pounding and his body pressed up against hers.

Wordlessly she pushed away, picking herself up in a daze. It had been too much at once. He was intoxicating. Peter stood up too after a minute and Katherine exited the tent quickly to change. Edmund looked between the two as if he had forgotten how to speak English. He could not grasp the meaning of what had just happened. Peter still stared at the tent flap as if in a dream. Then suddenly a look of realization crossed Edmund's face and he smirked.

"Wake up Dolly-Daydream" he mimicked and Peter snapped out of his trance at his brother's words. Turning to see Edmund's smug look he scoffed as he moved to get dressed.

"Shut up Ed"

Katherine had gotten changed into a pastel yellow day dress. One of the many options she had been given when she had arrived. As she smoothed down the soft and crisp fabric she could not help her face flushing at the thought of Peter last night and this morning. She looked into the floor-length ovular mirror.

"Snap out of it" she firmly spoke to her reflection and she quickly brushed her hair with the sliver hairbrush they had been provided with. Quickly running it through her thick tresses she got rid of most of the knots that had formed in her sleep. With one last look at her now shiny wavy hair, she swiftly exited the tent.

She spotted Edmund signalling her on the bank of Aslan's own tent. Picking up the skirt of her dress she quickened her pace to join him. Oreius was also there with a worried expression clear on his face. Once she was by Edmund's side he looked her up and down.

"You look nice" he complimented genuinely and she mumbled a thanks.

"By the way Kat, what were you doing in my brother's bed this morning?" Edmund asked with a smirk on his face.
