The next day I told my boss that I would be leaving at some point this week and he said that that was ok. I finished work for lunch and then went and met Tyler at the dock. We smiled and waved at each other. He walked over to me and we hugged. We walked and found somewhere to have lunch. We sat down ordered and then talked.
"Ok. My manager was not too happy with me not flying back today but its all good as I don't have anything important till the weekend. I have booked us a flight for Thursday midday." He said
"ok cool. I'll finish work on Wednesday then. I do only have 5 weeks as I am due home on the 30th." I said
"ok, I'll book you a return for the 29th then. The boys don't mind you coming but we don't have a spare room so you'll haft to sleep in my room if that's ok?" he asked
"Yeah, that's fine." I said
"ok. I'll come to get you on Wednesday at say 6 at your apartment?" he asked
"Yeah, that's fine." I replied
"ok also just so you know this weekend we have this year's winners coming from the competition so well be hanging out with them Saturday and Sunday if that's ok." He said
"Yeah, that's fine." I replied
"ok cool. Also, we have another event weekend in LA on the 14th and 15th. I'll try and get u a pass but I think they are sold out." He said
"ok that's fine I'll be ok if you can't I replied
We then chatted and had food. He walked me back to work and said bye. We were going to meet and do the same thing tomorrow. I informed my boss and they said I could finish Wednesday lunch and he would pay me then. I worked till 6 and then me and the girls did the usual of getting food and then going to the small island and chilling. Because the convention was over it was nice and empty and no fireworks display. I had informed the girls in what he had told me that day.
The next day I worked met Tyler and we had lunch. However, while we were out for lunch at a cafe my mum facetimed me on Facebook
"do you mind if I take this?" I asked him
"of course not." He replied
"Thanks." I said and answered as I got us and walked outside but stood by the sliding doors "hey, mum." I said
"hey, honey. How are you?" she asked
"I'm good thank you and you?" I replied
"I'm good. Are you and the girls having fun?" she asked
"Yeah, we are. It's great here." I said and glanced towards Tyler quickly
"ok well I won't keep you as I'm sure you want to get back to lunch, I just wanted to check in." she said
"yeah ok. Love you. Bye." I said
"bye." She replied and I hung up. I headed back to the table and sat down
"I couldn't help but overhear but how come you didn't tell her about me and going to LA?" he asked
"Oh. She wouldn't be happy that I'm leaving my friends to go to a different country with a boy I just met and would tell me to stay, whereas if I'm there already when I next speak to her, she can't do anything about it." I replied
"ah ok, I see. Good idea." He said
We then chatted, walked back to my work and I worked till 6 again and then chilled with the girls and did our usual.
