After long day, me and Ash crashed at Ayla's apartment. Laying down in her comfy bed, hugging her favorite purple pillow and thinking about how I should deal with the new guys in school. I heard the door opened and someone offered me a hand. "Come on, Ayla wants us to go downstairs." That voice was from Ash, I gladly take her hand and she pulled me up "how come Ayla's apartment had stairs. It's just an apartment right? Which means no stairs." Her apartment was big but not so big, it only fits for 3 people. Why the heck did she chose this kind of apartment? "Trina, some apartment does exist with stairs." She said and rolled her eyes with an amuse grin. More like this apartment is a house.
"Then how much money did she spend to buy this kind of apartment?" I ask, throwing the pillow on her bed and followed Ash. She closed the door behind her. I took a quick observation to her apartment and it seems amazing. It's a pure beau. The stairs were not that long but it's so sophisticated to look at. Shiny tiled floors, picture frames were hang stylishly on the wall and last but not the least...the purple wall seems to fit everything inside of this apartment. Exactly her style. "Did Ayla ever told us that she's rich kid?"
"I'm not a rich kid Trina. Unlike you, I know how to save money and spend it wisely. I didn't buy this apartment, I just rent it. I already had a decent job so that I can pay my rent every month. My parents helped me with it." Ayla appeared in front of us with a spatula in her hand. She was wearing her purple apron with butterflies attached to it. This girl is really obsessed with purple or violet. Not that I judge her...
Ash sniffed into the air like she smelled something delicious. Her eyes glistened as if she knew what's something in the kitchen. "Is that...pork steak?" Ash asked with enthusiasm. Pork steak is literally her favorite. "Yep! Trina! I've made your favorite too...Spicy-"
"Spicy chicken wings?!!" I cut her off before she can continue. "Race you there Ash..." I said to Ash and ran first towards the kitchen. We both laugh together as we seated in the chair. Ayla served us and that delicious smell filled into my nose. I can already taste it by sniffing. Ayla is an amazing cooker. She said she wants to become a chef in the future but I don't know why she chose engineering course in college. "Damn Ayla, you never failed to amaze me with your delicious meals." Ash said while she spooned the food inside her mouth. Her cheeks got chubby. "Ash, slow down..." I said. I took a bite in my spicy chicken and wow...it tasted like heaven.
"It's amazing Ayla, why don't you switch course when 1st semester is done." Ayla shrugged, resting her forearms on the table and sigh. She never touches her meal yet. Something's bothering her. "I am planning on switching my course next semester. I already asked my dad about it and I'm glad he said yes. He's even proud of me when I told him what course that I picked." She smiled proudly but that beautiful smile of hers didn't last. Looks like she's in deep thought. I nudge Ash beside me, a sign for a help to ask our best friend if she's okay or not. Ash got the message and cleared her throat. "What's wrong Ayla?"
She looked at us with a sad smile. "I'm going to miss you guys". I'm puzzled, she's leaving? "What do you mean?"
"You're going to transfer another school?
Her brows furrowed and stared us in confusion. "Guys, I'm not going to transfer. I'm just going to miss you both because we will be having our different classes." Me and Ash sighed in relief. I almost let my tear fell. "Then what course did you chose? Is it the cooking course?" I asked. She took a spoon of steak and place it inside of her mouth. Her face lit up as she tasted the food.
She shook her head as a no "I chose Psychology." She said it with enthusiasm, she seems excited about it but I'm happy for her. "What happened to the whole Chef thing?"
