I woke up and looked at my wall clock and it says it’s 5 am. It’s strange, I’d never woke up this early before but it’s still a miracle to me. I pull my covers off and head straight to the bathroom. After taking a shower, I went to my closet and picked an outfit.

I wore my denim jumpsuit and my white vans authentic shoes. I let my hair down as I finished drying it. I looked at my calendar hanging on my wall and today is Friday. Means half day…which I can hang out with my friends. That thought made me squeal with excitement.

I grab my bag and my phone then ran downstairs. When I got there, my mom was surprised. “You’re up early sweetie…how come?” she said as she served the food and put it on the table. I grab one of the bacons and egg and munch it down. “I know. It surprises me too” I said. Soon, my brothers came and stared at me with confusion. “Dad! You better come down here right now!” Tristan called dad upstairs. Maybe they are surprised…did I always wake up late? Nah…

“What is it- woah, Trina darling, you’re up early” dad said as he rolled up his sleeves. He went to mom and kissed her cheeks. I gag. “It’s a miracle day for my sister…”

“Shut up Joseph, just please eat your breakfast…” he chuckled and shook his head with amusement. Tristan grinned at me “there’s a boy waiting for you isn’t it?” he wiggled his brows. The table falls silent and I didn’t hesitate to step his foot for being an annoying rascal. He let out a yelp and hit his knee under the table. Mom and dad shot me a glare, “he started it…”

I averted my gaze to my food in front of me and start eating. “Since when will you three get along?” mom said.

I shrugged “never I guess…”

My mom sigh and continue eating as well.

“Make way for your princess slaves!!” Ash yelled at everyone in the hallway. I met Ash earlier at the bus stop. Even her couldn’t believe that I woke up this early. I shushed her as I felt the bunch of stares of every student around the hallway. “Ash please, stop praising me like a damn real princess. They are watching us and it’s embarrassing.”

“Oh Trina, why don’t you enjoy it? Look at the other boys, they are in to you sweetie, bear with it.”

I scoffed “bear with it?! Seriously!? What kind of nonsense was that Ash?!” I raised my voice at her a little but damn, could she listen to what I say? Hell no! She just flipped her hair and shrugged like she doesn’t care. “Come on girl, have some fun. The 1st semester have to end soon. I don’t want to separate with you without having my last time with the Alcoholic Princess. Maybe in the other time, I will see you hand in hand with someone without telling us.”
I glared at her and she just gave me an amusement grin. “Calm your B side girl, look, I just saw Ayla.” I puffed my cheeks, controlling my anger at her. I thought this day will be a good day and I was wrong after all.

…great

Ash pointed at where Ayla stand at her locket, staring at her phone with sadness in her eyes. I called her name as we approached.

She let out a force smile and puts the phone on her butt pocket. “Hey guys…” she said. “Ayla, what’s wrong?” I asked. She averted my gaze and sigh. “Trina, you’re early today. I am proud of you sis.” She changed the subject immediately. Me and Ash exchanged looks. We stare at her in confusion as she still wears her fake smile on her face. I crossed my arms through my chest and Ash did the same. I know what she’s worried about. “If this is about Jonathan…then break up with him.” I said, straight to her face as her smile fades away. I keep my stern look at her so that she knows that I’m being serious.

Jonathan Moreno is her boyfriend for 5 years. Pretty long. Their relationship was strong and I envied them but somehow, I don’t like that guy. That guy has some anger issues and its bad news for Ayla. I wonder how she managed everything…

“Guys calm down, he’s probably busy with his exams these week.” She said, giving her best smile to show no worries. Ash rolled her eyes as if she doesn’t believe any words that Ayla said. “Ugh seriously, you need a break girl. Jonathan is not enough for you. You need a better man who would love you dearly. Jonathan is a jerk and a big flirt so no…” Ash said as she combs Ayla’s hair using her hands and pat her cheeks. “Ya know Ash…you do have a taste of men but still single…”

“…and proud” Ash added.

“Well well well…we meet again your savageness” speaking of the devil, Mr. Scotland arrived with his friends. “Whoa dude, is this the chic you’re talking about? She does looks hot.” A guy which I assumed is Rey. He came up to me and extended his hand. I gladly take it but when he went to Ayla, he gulped. “M-monster girl?” he nervously said. Ayla’s expression changed. She scoffed “excuse me? Monster girl?” Rey was backing up as Ayla slowly approached him with her killing glares. I slightly giggled then my gaze moved to the guy beside Ryan. He was wearing a hood again. “bonjour Ben” I said and wave a little. “bonjour à toi aussi Trina”

Ben said and gave me the sweetest smile I’ve ever seen. Ryan looked at us “she knows how to speak French?” he muttered beside Ben.

Ben nod and still looking at me. His eyes were beautiful. His dark brown orbs are staring back to mine.

Dark brown?

I’ve seen those eyes before but where?

I suddenly felt a pain in my head and bring my hand to my temples then massage it. Gosh, why am I getting headaches these days. The pain got away when I heard someone yelping. I looked around for the source of that voice and it was Rey.

He was on his knees while Ayla twisted his arm. My mouth hanged open. “Ayla! Let go of him!!” Me, Ash and Rey’s friends went to them. Ayla’s cousin, Ivo, held her waist and tried to separate her with Rey while me and Ash tried to separate her grip from Rey’s twisted arm. Students around the hallway started to surround us. “Shit…” I hissed.

“Let go you bloody monster!!” Ryan yelled at her.

Ayla stopped, he let go of Ryan’s arm. We all sigh in relief but the fight didn’t end. Ayla pulled Ryan’s ear and he shouted painfully. We tried to separate them again but Ayla’s grip was strong and we’re scared that Ryan’s ear might get pulled off. “Why does the freaking bell didn’t ring??”

Riiiiing riiiing…

“Oh, there’s the bell…” Ash said and gave me a cheeky smile. Ayla finally let go of Ryan’s ear and we sigh again in relief. All the students went to their perspective areas. Ivo calmed her down and I glared at the boys. I walk closely to them. “Next time, think first before you speak in front of Ayla because if there is another fight, I won’t stop her.”

“I-I I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean it. I was just scared and it suddenly came out of my m-mouth. Please forgive me Trina.” Rey stuttered and gently held his arm. Darren calmed him down told us that they would go to the infirmary to checked Rey’s arm. I really felt sorry for him. “We’re really sorry about our friend Rey. Please understand, he really didn’t mean it.” Mark said it with concerned. I let out a tired sigh and look over to Ayla who was clutching her head. Ivo and Ash scolded her for good and I also heard the boyfriend word. I guess Ivo didn’t know about it.

I moved my gaze to Mark. “I’m also sorry for my friend. She’s been stressed out lately and sometimes she can’t control her anger pretty well but don’t worry, she’s going to cool off later.”

Ryan scoffed, “I hope she would…” I glared at him “and I hope you would shut your mouth too Ryan.”

“Ooohh…feisty.”

“Do you want me to pull your ears? I can do that…” I smiled innocently to him. “Whoa guys, just stop okay?” Ben butted in before things get heated. He gestured Mark to take Ryan with him and he did. Ivo and Ash still scolded Ayla who was looking down. “Hey, you okay?” Ben asked and gently touch my arm. I flinched at his sudden touch. “I-I’m sorry, I was just worried about my friend.” He smiled at me, “It’s okay. I’m also sorry about Ryan again. He still not forgive you for kicking his member. He won’t stop until he will sue you.” He scratched his nape and I scoff in disbelief.

“That guy is really nuts.” I said and he agreed, “well, looks like Ms. Ayla has cooled down.” He said when he saw the three of them approached us. “Ben, I am so sorry for the way I acted to your friend. I’ll apologize later. Please forgive me…” Ayla pleaded. “It’s okay Ayla. Rey also didn’t mean it like that.” Ben said.

Ivo clapped his hands, “I think it’s time for us to go because class is starting and you Ayla…we still have to talk about your oh-so-called boyfriend.” He said and glared at Ayla. She just nod and went to our class.
