Hi x,

I know you fear the dozen eyes on you, their scrutinizing gazes like ants crawling under your skin. I know you imagine what they're thinking right at the moment.

But you know what? They do not matter, at that moment, what matters the most is your gaze, your words, your voice.

You take a deep breath for me, close your eyes, and retreat to a corner of your mind where it's just you, only you, where the only thing that matters is you. Just speak up, don't even care if your voice seems weak or if it breaks, your words will make it stronger, louder.

That minute when you make the decision to speak up is the most important, after that you will gain the momentum to speak, and be amazing at it.

Ignore the frantic heartbeats, the clammy hands, the shortness of breath, and speak up because you're a voice worth listening to.

I wish you had this letter when you were afraid to speak, or when you had a bad case of stage fright.
