third person's pov

"who did this?" the restaurant's manager shouts, angrily staring at each and every one of his employees.

seokjin happens to be one of them. they were all looking at the ground as their manager intentionally breaks a small plate in front of them.

"every one of you know how much i hate mistakes," he mumbles, pinching his nose bridge in annoyance, "speak up! who did this?"

"it was me," seokjin squeaks, "i did it."

"you don't have to do this," one of his friends whisper, "it's my fault don't do this to yourself."

"mr. kim?" their manager arches a brow and looks at seokjin from head to toe, "can you repeat your previous words?"

"it was me! it wasn't seok—"

"did i ask for you mr. kang? are you mr. kim?"

the guy in question purses his lips and lets out a breathy 'sorry'.

"it was me. i made the mistake," seokjin says, "i'm sorry for not seeing the stain on the plate, i should've examined it well."

"do you think your apology is going to fix this? we might shut down, because of this inconvenience," their manager sighs, "pack up your things and go home mr. kim. i don't want to see your face in this establishment ever again."

"that must've been tough," namjoon says, patting seokjin's shoulder, "you should come work for me for the time being. i could use a little bit of help since i don't have that much employees."

seokjin smiles, "i would, but you have to double my salary."

"you're cheeky as always."

"i should get going, i have to go work in that convenience store," seokjin points at the store in front of them, "see you later, joon."

"that's your last one ain't it?" namjoon asks and seokjin just nods in response.

kim seokjin's pov

"maybe i should take on that job offer," i muse as i walk inside of the grocery store.

"ahjumma, i'm here!" i shout, searching for the woman that's supposed to be behind the counter.

"oh, you're just in time," a voice from behind me says, making me shiver, "i need to go to the doctor's, i might miss my appointment."

"uh, okay! you should get going then." i say, walking to her, "thank you. you're a sweetheart," she pats my head and i watch as she leaves the store, her purse in hand.

my two palms were on the counter, and i was humming to a random tune playing on the loud in-com speakers. my eyes wander to the electronic sliding doors, and with a loud bell chime, two boys came walking in.

"so—"

"jimin, isn't that seokjin?"

the guy with dark brown hair looks at me and pouts in my direction. they were the two college boys that i met on the beach!

"oh! seokjin, right? funny meeting you here," jimin says, a smile plastered on his face. i tug on my sleeves and re-cuff them to look more professional.

"it's wednesday, how come you guys aren't in your uni— oh wait, that's right. you guys tend to skip classes."

"not this time, they told us to go home," jimin states, grabbing a few bag of chips from the shelves, "by the way, the guy that's with me is jungkook. i forgot to introduce him to you before we left."

"nice to meet you," i say, looking directly at the guy beside him.

"likewise," jungkook's smiles, "i've been meaning to ask, we always see you building sandcastles on the beach, aren't you a bit too old for that?"

"it's just a past time hobby, it helps me relieve my stress."

"i see," jimin nods, "by the way, can we get your number?"

jungkook pinches jimin's side, making jimin yelp. if i hadn't have known that they were friends, i would've thought that they were enemies.

"sure," i proceed to write my number on a piece of paper, "here you go."

"thanks!" jimin takes the paper from my hand as he places the bag of chips on the counter.

"he's a weird one, i know," jungkook chuckles, getting an eco bag from a nearby rack as i charge jimin for their snacks.
