I was so excited to finally be getting close to Harry again. When he asked me if I wanted to see his gym and meet someone, I was ecstatic. I knew he was doing this mainly because of the long history we had and that there was a possibility he just felt guilty, but it still made me so happy to know that he wanted me to go with him.
I was texting him as I sat on the couch.
Me: when are you coming to pick me up?
Harry: I'd say around 2:45?
I looked at the clock, it was 2:00. I smiled, excitement filling me.
Me: sounds good! Do I have to wear workout clothes as well?
Harry: you don't have to. You can if you want. Why? Do you want to learn how to fight?
Me: no thanks. But I don't know. It's a gym! I'd feel weird if I showed up in jeans and a nice shirt.
Harry: hahahaha. Wear whatever you'd like, Rosie. see you in a few.
I smiled and set my phone down as I took a deep breath. I was really excited. I had no idea what to expect, and I wasn't sure if I should be concerned over the fact that this street fighter was about to introduce me to someone that he most likely met from street fighting and I wasn't worried at all.
Meh, I'll be fine.

"Okay, ready?" Harry asked stepping into my apartment. I nodded. He looked me over once and nodded, raising his eyebrow before he bent down to pet Koda once.
"you look great for a gym day," he smiled. I nodded proudly and walked out the door, listening to him chuckle as he took my key from me and locked the door.
I checked myself over once more: I was wearing a hoodie and some Lulu leggings with running shoes. I didn't want to all out on the workout wear but I also wanted to wear something that, if I was invited to try something out, I wouldn't be unprepared.
"Can we go now please," I said. He smiled and nodded.

"Okay, so the person you're meeting is Jack. He's my trainer. He's also kind of a father figure in ways and he knows about you and uh..."
I looked at him as Harry scratched his head. We were near the entrance of the gym, where they had a small desk with a receptionist and a clip board for, I'm guessing, signing in. I looked around and noticed a lot of men working out on big machines and most of them looked like they were mad about something every time they'd lift a weight.
"He knows about our history and how I-"
"How he left you behind because our baby boy here, couldn't handle his emotions," a voice said. We turned to find a tall man walking towards us. He was bald and had smile lines around his mouth and small wrinkles around his eyes. He wore a tank top and shorts and his arms were littered in tattoos. I watched as he greeted Harry and gave him a quick hug before his focus turned to me.
"You must be Rosie," he said, reaching his hand out for me to grab. I took his hand in mine and shook it, nodding.
"I am." He nodded and smiled.
"I'm Jack," he said before looking to Harry.
"he can't shut up about you," he whispers, causing Harry to smack his trainer upside the head. I looked at him to find him looking elsewhere, his cheeks growing red.
We laughed at his sudden shyness and Jack looked at me, "I suppose you're here to watch Harry train?"
I nodded, "I think it's the farthest he'll ever let me see into this world of yours."
