I wake up groggily and see a notification on my phone. I reluctantly roll over to get it and see who's texting me at 6:00am in the morning.
Notification:
1 new message from Brian

Of coure Brian would text me at 6:00am in the morning, he has to be awake for shift! I go into my messages to see what he needs.
Brian
Good Morning Beautiful 💕,would you like to come to the CFD Picnic today? I think I should finally introduce you to my friends!
Evelyn
Of Course! What time?
Brian
It's starts at 5pm, I'll pick you up from the apartment since your not working today, are you?
Evelyn
Ok, See you at Five!

Brian is so sweet, yet I was still trying figure out things about him. Like why his friends call him "Otis"
I guess I'll never know.

AT THE PICNIC
Brian and I held hands as we walked into the picnic venue, it was a large park filled with good food and lots of people. We soon approached a group of people who I assumed were his friends because they shouted as soon as we were in their sight range. Happiness turned to surprise as they looked down to see us holding hands and they knew that something interesting was about to go down.
"Hey Guys, This is Evelyn, my girlfriend" Brian told the group of friends we were next to.
"Nice to meet you Evelyn, I'm Joe Cruz" As he shook my hand.
The others said hello but none introduced themselves like Cruz did, a couple hours went by and I looked at my watch. It was 7:39pm.
"Brian, I got to get going, my shift starts in 20 minutes!" I shouted to him who was talking to Cruz
"Okay, bye!" He and Cruz shouted back.
As I was about to leave, I was cornered by two girls, who I assume were paramedics.
"Hey, you're not leaving before we can introduce ourselves, I'm Gabriella Dawson" One of them said to me, whilst I admired her beautiful brunette hair.
"And I'm Sylvie Brett, any friend of Otis is a friend of mine!" The other blondie said cheerfully.
"Hey Guys, It's nice to meet you! I would really like to talk more but I'm going to be late for the bus and then late for shift, so I gotta get going" I replied as graciously as possible.
"It's fine, we'll drive you there, come on!" Said Gabriella, as she took my hand and led me to a car down the street.
