Ryder, Chase, Marshall, and Rocky rode down to the museum, and Mayor Goodway was in front of the museum, waiting for them. When she saw them approaching, she ran towards them.

"Thank goodness, you came," she said.

"How long ago did they leave?" asked Chase.

"About half an hour ago," the mayor replied. "I didn't call immediately because I was scared at first."

"It's okay," Ryder said. "You did a good job."

They walked up to the museum door, Mayor Goodway unlocked it, and couldn't believe their eyes. There was a giant mess. Multiple things were missing. The Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton was scattered all across the floor, and some of the columns that were displaying the artifacts were broken.

"Chase check for any footsteps," said Ryder.

"Yes, sir," said Chase. He walked into the museum and noticed a smell that was coming from up ahead. He went to the place where he believed that the smell was coming from. He noticed footprints seemed to lead around the place. The footprints were muddy. He followed the footsteps. He went from one area of the museum to another. They passed through every area where something was stolen. He knew for sure that they belonged to the robber, but something was off. "Mayor Goodway," Chase said. "Didn't you say that was two men?"

"Well, that's what I saw," replied the mayor.

"Why, what's wrong, Chase?" asked Ryder.

"Well, right here, there is only one set of footprints," Chase explained. "There should be two sets of footsteps unless..." He walked over to the window where they escaped from, and there was another set of footsteps, slightly smaller, walking around the area. "This robber was watching out for others while the other one gathered up the objects. He walked back to the main entrance. He looked into the museum.

"How did the dinosaur fall over?" asked Rocky, who was fixing a column with glue designed for glass.

Chase examined the dinosaur skeleton. The legs were still standing up, but everything was scattered across the floor. Chase walked over to the other side of the skeleton and noticed a broken column in the shape of a ramp. He turned around a noticed a janitor cart that has tipped over. This gave him a theory. He picked up the janitor cart and steered it back. When he got it aligned with the ramp, he gave it a push. The cart went up the ramp. flew in the air, went out the front door, and landed in the grass outside.

"I think I know how it fell over. The robber must've accidentally pushed the cart, trying to lean against it or something, and sent it toward the skeleton, making it fall," Chase said.

"Nice detective work, Chase," complimented Ryder. He scratched Chase behind the ear, which Chase enjoyed.

"Thanks, Ryder, but we still have to catch them," Chase said.

Ryder thought about this. "I agree. Chase and Marshall, you two will come with me to catch the two robbers. Rocky, you will stay here and help with fixing, and when you are done, you are free to go back to the Lookout.

"Okay, Ryder," the pups said in unison.

Chase led Ryder and Marshall outside. They walked over to the broken window. He tried to smell for the footprints, but couldn't. "I can't smell the track," he told Ryder. "The rain last night is tipping me off."

"That's okay, Chase," said Ryder.

"Can't you use your heat-sensor?" asked Marshall.

"Great idea, Marshall," said Chase. He barked out his heat-sensor goggles. Using them, he could see the footsteps clearer. Chase, followed by Ryder and Marshall, went around the museum to the back. They walked a little bit longer until Chase stopped.
