Chase and Marshall knew what they had to do. After they sent Skye and Everest away to a safer place, they re-entered the plane. They looked at each other, and then at the crates holding the explosives. If they don't do something quick, the explosive could hurt many innocent people of Adventure Bay.
"Hey, Chase, look at this," Marshall said, noticing something on one of the crates.
"What is it?" asked Chase.
"There's a note on this crate," Marshall said. "It says Since the Paw Patrol won't allow me to take over their town, best to take it out of the game."
"Then we have to do this quick," said Chase.
"Okay," Marshall said. He took a deep breath. "Let's do this."
Chase and Marshall took a step back, away from the crates. "Ruff, Ruff, lasers," they called out at the same time. Lasers popped out from the top of their pup pack. Chase and Marshall aimed their lasers at the crates. Marshall looked over to Chase, and Chase nodded. They turned on their lasers. The lasers shot out and hit their targets.
"If something occurs to us," Marshall yelled to Chase. "I want you to know that you were the best brother and friend that I could ask for you."
"Same here, Marshall," replied Chase. "No matter what, we started this together, we end this together. Brothers till the end."
At that moment, the crates exploded. The explosion threw Chase and Marshall out of the plane. As they fell to the ground, they could see the plane burst into a ball of flames. They closed their eyes, thinking that their lives were about to end, but happy to know that many innocent people would still have theirs. The expected the worst until they hit something soft. It did not feel like the ground at all. They opened their eyes and realized that they were in a smaller plane with two seats in the back and one in the front. In the driver's seat was a white pup driving.
"Hey, guys," the pup said.
"Sweetie?!" Chase exclaimed.
The others were speechless. They just watched the plane that Chase and Marshall were in blow up. Skye and Everest screamed at the top of their lungs inside the planes, "NOO!" They couldn't believe that Chase and Marshall would do that. When they finally got to the ground, they got out of the jets and looked over to the explosion. Ryder and the other pups ran over to them.
"Are you two okay?" asked Ryder.
"Yeah," Skye and Everest said in a shaky voice.
"Okay, that's good," Ryder said. He looked over to Chase and Marshall's vehicles, which returned to their original state as a spy cruiser and firetruck. "Where are Chase and Marshall?"
This question caused Skye and Everest to tear up. They started to cry, which had the others confused.
"Why are you two cry...?" Ryder didn't have to finish that question when he realized why. He looked up at the flames in the air, which were now disappearing. "Did Chase and Marshall...?" Skye and Everest ran into his arms since he was on his knees. They ran up to him and cried in his arms. Ryder was without words. He refused to believe that they were gone.
Rocky, Rubble, and Zuma whimpered in the back. Silverback, who was watching from afar, howled. Solstice, as well as the others from the Nightguard pack while Alpha Luna and the rest of the pack went to help in Adventure with protection, raised their heads to the moon and howled. The mood in the area was sad and depressing.
Everest opened her eyes and looked at the night sky. That was when she noticed two small lights getting closer. "What is that?" she asked.
Ryder and Skye looked over to the light. "I don't know what it is," Ryder said.
