So I was struggling to sleep, and it was like 2 O'clock in the morning by the time I had completely given up on sleeping that night, (not that I'd recommend not sleeping, but I'm a lifelong insomniac), so I got dressed to go for a walk around the neighbourhood, (which I was quite confident about since Levi showed me the loop a couple of times).

I had left Leo a note on the kitchen table in case he woke up while I was gone, (and I had the keys to the front door), so then I went for a walk, it was quite nice actually as there wasn't really anyone trying to talk to me about Jack, (and that was nice as I didn't really have a great relationship with him to be honest with you).

So I turned the key into the door when I got in and it seemed like Leo was in the living room waiting for me to come in, which was weird to me at the time as I had left him a note, (not realising that most people either wouldn't look for a note when somebody in their care was missing from the bed or the note wouldn't have helped).

"Where the hell-?!"
"On a walk, I left a note on the kitchen table"
"Jesus Christ!- sorry, what possessed you to go on a walk at this time of night?"
"I couldn't sleep"

Leo was trying not to lose it with me, (which if I could tell, then it was bad as I can't read people for shit), I felt bad that Leo was worried about me but I was also confused as I left a note that explained that I was on a walk, so in my head, he didn't have to worry about me, (I know that it doesn't work like that now, but 11 year old me didn't, ok, cut me some slack).

"Did you think that it would help you sleep?"
"No, I had given up on sleeping tonight"
"Rebecca do you not know how dangerous it is to walk alone outside at this hour?!"
"I had keys"
"What are keys going to do if you get attacked?!"
"I can gouge out someone's eye with a key if I really need to"
"Is that your plan-?"
"No, my plan is kick in the balls, bottom of my palm to break their nose and leg it back, though honestly this is a really quiet area-"
"Where's calling the cops in this plan?"

Yeah so I wouldn't call the police, in case you needed that reminder, (though if you've been paying attention you should know why that was), though I guess that most people at the time didn't have the same issue as I did.

"I wouldn't call the coppers, a few of them back in London worked for my Dad"
"What did your dad do?"
"Do you want the legal definition or do you want what he actually did?"
"What he actually did, though I might regret it"
"He ran a drug cartel"
"Is that why he died?!"
"No, he died because married my mother when she was 15 and he claimed to be about 16, but he was compulsive liar so who knows"
"Did your mother tell you th-"
"God no, I was there, saw him get his hand cut off and everything before he was shot in the head"

Yeah I don't think that Leo was ready for me to be so casual about how Jack died, (though most people probably wouldn't be ready to hear that), and looking back at it now with adult lenses, I would've suggested fucking therapy for me if I was in Leo's shoes here.

"Oh my God, you poor Baby"

I didn't know how to react to that, as nobody had ever said that to me before this, (and I'm not good with people so that definitely didn't help me at all), so I just stood there like a bloody nelly, (though it seemed like Leo didn't mind too much).

"Please don't go out without waking me up-"
"Why would I wake you up though?"
"To let me know-"
"But you're a heavy sleeper, as I wasn't exactly quiet when leaving"
"That is true, however I don't think that my heart could take the panic of you not being in your bed again"
"I'll try to wake you up then, however you'll probably end up with a note at your pillow"
"That's one way to do it, have you tried any treatments for your sleep-"
"I've tried everything under the sun and it's not worked, got told that I'm an insomniac- this is the first night I've gone for a walk-"
"It's fine, probably should've lead with the insomnia thing"
"Yeah that would've saved some of the panic"
