Chap 15 (First Kiss)

Time skipped

I woke up in the middle of the night feeling cold. Shawn was squirming in pain. I quickly turned on the lamp and took his head in my hands.

"Shawn you're burning", his eyes were getting swollen and he was shivering.

"It's getting hot here", placing his hands on the bed beside him for support, he got into sitting position and took off his shirt.

"Shawn please let's go to the doctor", I requested but the same as before he refused.

"Look your body temperature is constantly rising", I checked his temperature by placing my hand on his forehead that was still burning.

"Ah, Luna stop being too worried about me. I ain't a good boy", taking my hand off his forehead, he held it tightly.

"Why are you thinking so?", I felt my heart sank when he said that.

"I've been lying to you all the time", it was getting hard for him to keep his eyes opened. He was swinging with his eyes getting shut by every second.

"Even if you've lied to me, you better have had your reasons. I still believe in you", I reassured him.

"Okay, I trust you on this one. Don't let me down", he leaned closer.

Maybe he was saying all that because of the fever.

"I want to tell you how beautiful you are from where I'm standing.
You got me thinking about what we could because I keep craving, you don't know it but it's true. Can't get my mouth to say the words they want to say to you. This is typical of love but I can't wait anymore. I need to tell you how I feel when I see us together forever", looking into my eyes, he was speaking in a lury way.

His warm breath was falling on my face and it wouldn't be a lie if I say that all I wanted was him to kiss me.

"What's got into him? Okay I also like it when he's around but if he's only like this just because of his fever and will act the same as before in the morning I won't be able to continue with him anymore", he snapped me out of my thoughts.

"In my dreams, you're with me. We'll be everything I want us to be. And from there, who knows, maybe this will be the night that we kiss for the first time or is that just me and my imagination", his fingers traced the counters of my jaws and then my lips.

His credulous doe eyes staring into mine were forcing me to let him slid his lips on mine without any doubt.

"Sha-", without letting me finish he hovered his warm lips on my soft as rose petals lips.

It was my first ever kiss and I was melting with the feeling of his lips moving on mine gently.

I didn't kiss him back, just let him giving me this pleasure and kept tasting the sweet taste of his lips until he collapsed into my arms. My body temperature was certainly more than his.

"Can I flatter myself to assume that you love me?", I whispered.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his head in my lap. I covered him with a blanket and was also dozing off soon.

Shawn's POV

I turned my face to meet Luna's sleeping figure. I remember what happened last night and it wasn't because I had a fever.

I've been making up my mind to tell her about my feelings for days. Finally, I took a chance of the fever and mustered up my courage to let it out. Okay, it was more than just letting out but I must've to admit that her lips made me feel like I was in a magical garden where all flowers were singing songs and soothed me to sleep.

"She looks like an angel", tucking few strands behind her ear, I squealed with joy.

I put my shirt on and walked up to the kitchen to make breakfast for us, well better say lunch since it is already twelve o'clock.

Luna's POV

"Is this my phone buzzing like crazy?", I grabbed it from the table while rubbing my eyes?

"Who's it?", answering the call I asked in surprise as no one had my number.

"What's your name?", the same voice spoke from the other side.

It was the same man I escaped from that night. Memories of that night flooded in my head altogether.

"My man is waiting for you down in street. Don't take too long. We have got an old errand to complete", with that he hung up the call.

"Should I tell Shawn? No, I need to keep him away from all this", I wore my shoes and quietly sneaked out of the house since Shawn was in the kitchen.

"Get in", it was the man from the shop. He gestured me to get in.

"I'm not going anywhere without you. Say what you want to hear", holding my tears back, I said showing off a strong determined figure in front of him.

"I see. That kid wouldn't mind coming down here", he was about to come out of the car when I did what he said.

"Luna breakfast is ready", I went to my room to wake her up but she wasn't there.

"I told you not to go out without informing me. I'm gonna punish you this time bad girl", I sat on a chair after searching the whole place.

Breakfast was begging me to eat it but how could I gulp it down when she's not around?
