Shawn's POV
She can't leave me for a thing like this. I admit my fault that I've been lying all the time but my feeling wasn't fabricated. They were and are certainly pure.
Wandering my eyes in empty space around me I stormed out of room and turned the knob to open the door of her room.
Vacant room started eating up my audacity to talk to her. I ended up searching each corner of the condo but all I found was gleamy surface.
She's gone?
Burying my head in my both hands I leaned against kitchen wall.
Fear of losing her, that started forming when she mentioned that she had been so done with me to spend any more time, finally gulped down my throat.
I felt being shot by a heavy truck loaded with granite and couple of ballistic missiles.
After being choked on my own breath I grabbed a bottle of red wine from the lower cabinet.
Leaning against the wall I slid down to sit on the floor in anguish.
In state of unwillingness to do anything and heart getting heavier, I opened its lid.
Letting it roll down on the floor, I swigged it in two gulps.
Gradually three, four, five, six gulps until there left not a single drop to come out of it.
I threw it beside me. The sound of glass breaking wasn't loud enough to startle my soul.
The echo of my heart breaking was the only sound I could hear that wasn't any less than ear-piercing screech.
Cold breeze hitting the casement window hinged on front wall making them thwacked in its frame, was lifting my curly brown hair at temples.
I placed palms of my hands on floor to push myself little forward so that I could take one more bottle out.
In doing so my hands met broken pieces of glass.
Without caring about the blood, I seized the bottle with my hands. Red drops were dripping down on floor but what I was more afraid of was to lose my grasp on bottle.
Bringing it close to my lips, I smashed it against my lips and had mouthfuls of it.
Life with her or life without her. By that I mean I've to choose one or the other way. Latter case I would die anyway.
I sat morosely contemplating on my thoughts.
The buzz of my phone dragged me back from my half conscious fragile state of mind. Pulling it out of my trousers, I glanced at the screen hoping a call from Luna but it was Brian.
"She left me", my drunken voice didn't seem to startle Brian as boyfriends usually get drunk when their girlfriends leave them.
"I know."
In undertone he replied letting out a cold sigh of grief.
"She said I'm a lair she can't give me a second chance considering what if I lie again", I scoffed gulping down dark red wine.
"Brian she doesn't know that I-", before I could finish Brian interrupted me saying with something that shocked the shit out of me, making me worried to death for her.
"Shawn she left you not because of your lies."
I waited him to complete.
"What?", I finally asked after few seconds of silence.
"Why Brian!", I yelled as a whimper of pain left my mouth.
Looking at my other hand that was resting in my lap, I ignored how my shirt was soaking all the blood.
"Buddy you okay?", he asked in deep concern.
"Just answer me", between all pain shots rising in my body, I said.
"I'm coming there", he dropped the call.
I stood up on my feet, leaving rest of wine in bottle and waited desperately for Brian in TV lounge.
Sound of brakes slamming outside caught my attention as I walked up to the door.
Ignoring wide open eyes of Brian at view of blood dripping off my hands I quickly asked him about what he was talking about earlier.
"Shawn you hurt yourself!", he got panicked.
"I'm okay tell me what's it?", I asked as he stepped in.
"No you're not let's go to hospital", he insisted uselessly since I was not going to move an inch before knowing what made Brian post that statement.
"Okay fine! Let me dress the wound you've first aid box at home", he walked up to the kitchen.
"What the hell!"
Seeing the larger shards of glass with blood glittering on top of them, he stood stunned.
I shot him a snort of disgrace seeing the baffled look on his face.
He searched through few bottom cabinets to find brush as I didn't bother to utter a word since the absence of Luna began to fret me.
After locating the brush and dustpan, he swept the broken pieces and deposited them in the garbage.
Reading my quizzical facial expressions he turned back on his heel and tiptoe to grab first aid box from upper cabinet.
After staring me down in incredulity he walked past me into the living room.
"Come over here", I could feel him lashing out at me any second.
I sat next to him on edge of couch. He gestured me to hand him my both hands.
After cleaning the wounds he applied antibiotic cream and covered them with a sterile bandage.
"If you're done babysitting me-", placing the box on the table he opened his mouth to speak something but only a gasp of breath left his mouth.
"Go ahead. I'm all ears", I gestured him to continue.
"She came to me", his unanticipated pause for relatively short amount of time caught my nerves on stand by mode.
"I know after hearing me out many questions are gonna arise in your mind same as they aroused in mine but believe me I'll be knowing less than you since I don't know what happened between both o-",
"Spill the beans."
My eyes fixed at Brian, demanding everything he knew in agitation. Tension started building up in my veins.
"She told me that she was sorry and requested me to help you moving on in your life and that you shouldn't be blaming yourself for anything."
Tears shining in corner of my eyes were waiting for their turn to roll down my cheeks at my single blink.
Luna? What are you hiding?
