Chap 40 (The End)

"Aelia come back!", Luna took her apron off before storming out of the kitchen.

"I don't wanna eat anymore!", five years old girl pouted as she ran out of the large house with her small feet.

"Finish your breakfast or no chocolates!", Luna who was trying to pace up with her daughter fumed in anger. Raising a child wasn't an easy task indeed.

"I'll tell your dad if you don't finish it", Luna stopped in the middle of the garden hoping that her daughter would stop as she behaved very obedient whenever it was about Shawn.

"Daddy will find another way since Tarzan isn't here to eat my leftovers anymore", Aelia suddenly covered her mouth with her both hands. Tarzan was their dog. Shawn and Luna brought it home when Aelia was four. Shawn's sister Aaliyah took the dog with her last night. She said she would bring it back after me a week. Shawn used to give the leftovers of her daughter's breakfast to Tarzan. It wasn't like he would make her skip her breakfasts. He believed that Aelia was an active girl who had a healthy diet as much as a five-year kid should have. Luna, on the other hand, being a mother sometimes overreached for Aelia.

"Repeat what that stupid husband of mine does!", you must be wondering how a calm, understanding person could turn into a lose-tempered one? Moodswings. Luna was two months pregnant, again.

"Mommy please, don't tell daddy. I promise I'll finish my breakfast", poor Aelia tried to convince her mom when Brian entered with his son through the large wooden gate.

"Uncle Brian", Aelia ran over to him and hugged his legs.

"My sweet baby", Brian picked Aelia up in his arms before kissing her forehead. Aelia snuggled in his arms. She got attached to Brian since he always spent most of the time at the former's house.

Brian married Camila after two months of Shawn's and Luna's wedding. Camila was their mutual friend. They dated for a month and decided to level up their relationship. Since the youngest of the squad was married who was supposed to stop the others. His son, Dylan, was a year younger than Aelia.

"Hey, Luna", he greeted while smiling.

"You and Shawn have spoiled her", Luna crossed her arms against her chest and turned a cold face to him as if she was the youngest one there.

"Hi, aunt Luna", Dylan flashed a wholesome smile revealing the gaps between his teeth.

"Aww, my baby. Where's your mom?", Luna knelt to hug the
four-year-old?

"She went to Miami to meet her parents from the morning flight. She wanted me to go with her but I wanted to spend time with you guys", Luna smiled ruffling the hair of the boy. Meanwhile, Shawn also entered the house.

"Uncle Shawn!", Dylan went running toward Shawn, jumping at him, almost making the grocery bags drop off his hands.

"I also missed you", Shawn luckily maintained his balance. They all walked inside. Luna's cold sigh held everyone's attention in the living room as they just sat on the couches.

"You! When will you stop butting in my matter?!", she spatted?

"Mommy is gonna strangle us to death today", Aelia sighed burying her head in one hand while shooking it.

"Don't worry I'll save you the same as uncle Shawn saved Aunt Luna", Dylan sat next to Aelia.

"What are you talking about?", Aelia blinked twice at Dylan.

"About uncle Shawn saving your mom", Dylan smiled wholeheartedly.

"Who told you that Dylan?", Shawn asked.

"Dad always tells me a story about how you saved aunt Luna from getting hit by the bullet every night before I go to sleep", Dylan looked at Brian who just facepalmed himself.

"Brain! What do you think you're feeding in the brain of your son?!", Luna stoop up from the couch.

"I just remembered an important work. I'll pick you later Dylan", Brian stormed out of the house.

"Don't! I'll be staying over here tonight", Dylan yelled enough loud to be heard by his dad who was running for his life.

"Don't stress out yourself honey. It's not good for both baby and you", Shawn walked over to Luna.

"I want mint chocolate ice cream!", Luna pouted when Shawn stroked her clothed belly.

"But you asked me to buy chocolate caramel", arguing with your pregnant wife wasn't a wise idea.

"I want mint chocolate now! You're buying it or not?! If not I'm going by myself!", Luna walked over to their bedroom to grab her coat when Shawn followed her.

"I'll bring you everything, my love", hugging her from back Shawn whispered in her ear. For Shawn, who risked his life for Luna mood swings were nothing. Rather than being annoyed, he used to enjoy them. Luna was always demanding during this phase and he loved to provide everything his love would ask for.

At night

Shawn and Luna were sitting on their bed with Dylan and Aelia by either side.

"Mommy I can't wait to play with a baby boy", Aelia scooted closer to her mom.

"Boy? Don't you want a little princess like you?", when Luna was a week pregnant with Aelia she wanted it to be a girl.

Why?

After everything she went through she should not have never wished for a girl. That's normally what the victims of such tragedies would think but to Luna raising a girl and giving her a dream life had always been the dream she wanted to turn into a reality with his love by his side.

"No. I want a small version of daddy. I've seen how adorable he used to look in the arms of grandpa and grandma. I also wanna hold him, I mean my little brother, in my arms. Can I touch it?", she asked. When Luna nodded Aelia placed her little hand over Luna's stomach.

"I already love you so much. I and Dylan will never leave you alone. He is also saying hi to you", Aelia giggled feeling all excited for the day to arrive.

Shawn's POV

This is the family one always needs to feel complete. I, Shawn Mendes, the reason for millions of smiles across the globe, am the luckiest person alive to have them. I named my daughter Aelia for a reason. Luna means Moon and Aelia means Sun. They both are my Sun and Moon, my bright mornings, my nights adorned with infinite stars, my summer, my winter, my autumn, my spring, my radiant light of the day, my luminous moonlight. They make me feel whole. Luna gave me the biggest happiness of my life. I love my family and will keep loving them until the day I die.

The End.
