Helen POV

Peter's been a bit wound up since we saved the Ambassador. He was muttering to himself the entire ride home. I know it's been a tense few days, and he hasn't been at this for as long as I have. Although even I never got like this, not with my toughest encounters. He must really be thinking about something.

"Peter, I want you to relax for a few days. Take a little time so you can be you," I told him.

"This is me though. My brain's always firing on all cylinders," Peter replied a bit dismissively. He seemed like he was in outer space with his thoughts, so I think I need to have May talk to Peter. The driver pulled up to the house and we both got out of the car. Peter said nothing as he walked into the house, still stuck in his thoughts. I went into the house and went to find May.

"Oh. Helen! Welcome back! You and Peter are doing great with your hero work," May complimented as she walked up.

"Thanks May. Can I ask you to do something for me?" I asked, cutting to the chase.

"Sure, what's wrong?" May asked.

"Can you talk to Peter for me? He's been a bit of a rut since we saved the Ambassador," I responded, explaining the situation to her.

"Ohhh. This is Parker stuff, no worries. I've got him," May said as she walked away and went up the stairs to Peter's room.

I hope she can reign Peter in. I thought to myself as I thought of the intense stress being a hero can give a person.

Peter's POV

I was sitting in a roller chair, going back and forth between my little briefcase computer and a cork board with different web lines connecting different pictures of Mysterio, a question mark that has "Screenslaver" written on it, and different people dotted all around. Winston, Tony, Evelyn and this mysterious "Beck" guy. I was trying to figure out who Mysterio or Screenslaver were in order to get a leg up on them.

"Peter? What are you doing?" I heard in the doorway. I spun around and saw Aunt May standing in my doorway.

"Just a bit of personal hero work. Nothing to worry about," I said, sliding back to my computer.

"Hero work? Looks uh....complicated," She said as she looked at my board.

"Tends to be. Especially when you're solving and resolving things as you learn new information. Nothing new to me," I prattled off as I pushed myself away from my computer and May stopped me.

"Peter. I think you need to step back a bit and relax," May said calmly.

"Relax? I can't relax, not when I have this to work on," I denied.

"Peter this level of obsession isn't healthy, I can tell. You need to wind down, cool off and put the mask away for now," Aunt May said, trying to get me away from this.

"Aunt May...I...I can't. Not when there are so many people at risk. I need to do this, it's my responsibility that I've undertaken. I can't abandon it now," I said solemnly. She had this look of awe in her eyes, as if she had just seen a ghost flash right in front of her.

"You sound exactly like Ben," She said as she let me go.

"You sound....exactly like Ben," Aunt May said with tears forming in her eyes.

"I'm sorry Aunt May," I said, hugging her. She hugged me tight.

"Do your best Peter. I'm so proud of you," She said as she walked out of my room. I didn't waste any time in getting back into my work, trying to find anything that would be that smoking gun. Something that would start making all the pieces click together...nothing. Now I feel like I'm wasting my time.
