Dragon Ball Super: The Return of Demolin

Chapter 3: Beyond the Gods

As the bright golden light fades away from Demolin, Vegeta can clearly see Demolin's new look, and that is when he realises just how much power Demolin has obtained from it.

"Well it was fun while it lasted, but I'm done playing with you now. I have no need to drag this out any further. So..prepare to die!" He shouts, firing off towards Vegeta at a speed that he can't even keep up with, and hitting Vegeta in the face with his elbow. He goes flying into a hill, and Demolin uses that chance to fire tons of blasts at Vegeta, creating a huge hole in the terrain. Vegeta flies out though and clashes with Demolin. They continue to clash over and over, going all over the place, and every now and then one of them gets a good hit in. Meanwhile, Goku and Frieza are faced with a similar situation, both being at their strongest maintainable forms. Though Goku is proving to be more powerful, and he still has some tricks up his sleeve in case things go wrong. While things don't look good for Frieza, he still smiles with evil intent.

"You're still very powerful, but don't think this is my limit! I will have my revenge, for all those years ago, not to mention the years that I had to stand aside or put up with you for whatever reason. So I hope you said your goodbyes before you came here, cause this will be the last time anyone ever sees you again!"

He charges a bit, then flies straight at Goku. They continue to clash, until Frieza backs off and fires a sphere shaped attack right at the ground. Goku is forced to try and stop it, giving Frieza time for a sneaky attack. However, before he can do anything, Vegeta interrupts him accidentally with a Final Flash. Goku then takes care of the attack, and focuses back on Frieza.

"Nice one, Vegeta. Now, no more dirty tricks. It's time to go all out, and fight fair and square!" Goku then charges up, and continues to battle Frieza, hoping to wear him down before using a special technique to hopefully finish the fight.

At the same time, the battle between Demolin and Vegeta still rages on. Vegeta has taken quite the beating though, and after just missing that Final Flash, he has much less energy than he needs to keep fighting. As he struggles to keep his form up and fight, Demolin tries to enhance his fatigue by shooting a spread of ki blasts towards Vegeta, hoping that he will either try to block them or continuously dodge them until he slips up. Instead, however, Vegeta notices the plan behind the shots, and charges forward, going through, and past, all of them. Demolin becomes worried at this behavior, but continues to fire regardless. Vegeta then comes to a sudden stop, flies above Demolin, and encases himself in a ball of yellow energy. He charges up, and all Demolin could do at the moment was look up in shock. It seemed as though he was gathering all the energy he had left, and outputting it into one attack!

"I hate using this last resort attack, but if it'll defeat you..then so be it! I won't lose to one of Frieza's kind again! Haaaaahh!!" As he shouted, the air around him grew tense, rocks lifted, terrain shattered despite his height. Then finally, with a smirk, he shifted to a standing pose and released all the energy he had stored up. Demolin snapped back into the reality just in time to block it. He could barely hold on, but as the attack kept going, he soon found it easier and easier to stand guard. Until eventually, right as his arms went numb from the pressure, it died down. Vegeta was left there in the air, base form and hanging low.

Demolin had a look of anger and stress, saying to himself, "Shit, that was something else.. I didn't think he had that much power left in him. Good thing he wasted some of it on that missed shot earlier.."

As he hung there, he could start to feel himself fainting. He struggled one last time, this time to stay awake for just a little longer to think of some kind of plan B, but failed due to his lack of strength. He fell from the air, about to go right down in front of Demolin. Before that would happen though, Demolin let his anger get to him, and he whipped Vegeta away from him with his tail. As he crashed into the earth with a big puff of smoke and debris, Demolin claimed his victory. He sighed with relief, saying to himself, "I guess that's one down. Now, just two more.."
