It’s been 3 months of tireless hours at work and tireless hours of getting treated. Sitting in the doctor’s office, waiting to hear the results of my most recent test, I was wondering what Isaac was doing, by the way just a month after Isaac was dropped at my front door I heard the great news that all I need to do to make Isaac my son is to sign an adoption document, well without thinking twice I did.
The doctor came into his office and greeted me, as we were sitting, he told me that the tumor can be removed from my lung. I need to get a small procedure to remove it.
It’s about an hour before my procedure and Alissa comes in carrying Isaac. I am so happy to see them there are no words to describe it. Isaac sits next to me playing with a strand of my hair, I got so lucky with this baby boy. Its ten minutes before I need to leave, and I am saying my goodbyes to Alissa and John who came when he got off work. Next its Isaacs turn to say goodbye to me, and the most unexpected thing comes out of his mouth.
“Bye, bye mommy,” he said. I feel tears prickle about my eye.
“Bye, bye my baby boy,” I reply
He gives me a tight hug and a wide smile. As soon as they stroll me out of the room, he starts crying, luckily Alissa is here to help keep him in the room and calm him down. As they are strolling me, I recognize something, no someone familiar.----------------------------------------------------------------
