“Evan, “I scream receiving glares from the nurses and doctors.
The guy turns around and there is no doubt in my mind that, that is my brother, the siblings whose body they never found. This can’t be, a million things are going through my mind ‘was he in the car’ ‘does he know about the accident’ I am confused, angry, happy and excited all at the same time. There is no way. With a look of realization and happiness he runs towards me and engulfs me in a bone crushing hug. We just stand there and stare into other eyes, until he finally decides to break the silence and starts rambling.
“There you are, I wasn’t in the car I decided to go camping and only found out yesterday when I got home, and so I phoned Alissa and she told me about the surgery and I know mom told you I was coming with and, and I am so sorry.”
I embrace him in another bone crushing hug and replied through my tears, “I thought you were dead, but I am so happy your alive, but listen to me I need to go into surgery so can we continue this conversation later and by the way you have a nephew.”
Grinning I let the nurses stroll me to the operating room not before hearing him scream out a nervous but excited “WHAT!”
