Sin's Pov

After the revelation, Ruby came back from the kitchen with her signature tight smile. She didn't seem angry at all though a bit reserved. What other secrets and pains does she hide?  She gave us each a hot chocolate and even pointed me to the cabinet of liquor that she owns. I however denied politely feeling that I have already trespassed my welcome. If it wasn't for Eva my neighbor would have never spare me a glance. She didn't mind me either as a neighbor or a man: my gaze earlier didn't bug her, make her blush or annoyed. It is like I don't even exist to her.

" Ro, would you join us for dinner tomorrow?" Eva questioned out of thin air without asking for my approval and I was left dumbstruck. Tomorrow is a Monday. Eva fully knows that I come tired from my office and just order us anything she wishes to be delivered home.

" Sweetheart, I don't know if that's okay or not with your dad. I however would love to have you here for dinner if you wish." Ruby answered back and I was left puzzled ; is her invite directed only at Eva or the both of us?

"No, you cooked a lot for me. Tomorrow, dad and I will cook for you. Plus , I want to show you my room and little guinea pig. Please, Ro. Pretty please?" Eva begged giving Ro her famous puppy eyes and I knew that older woman freaked because her dark eyes fell on me asking for help.

Images of Ro or Ruby in that damned nightgown flashed in my head again as her dark orbs met mine. Instead of answering the situation at hand, I just froze and once again found myself studying the girl in front of me. If I would be honest she wasn't that great of a beauty; just a simple girl with dark eyes and hair , very luring curves and a timid set of full smiling lips. I have seen more attractive girls but some sort of energy or halo surrounded Ruby making me lost at her mere sight.

"Princess, maybe another time." The woman talked and I saw her shooting me a glare for not helping her with Eva's whines.

"No, daddy and I will make our famous pizza for you. I don't want the Disney trip or the Barbies. Please, daddy tell Ro that she is having dinner with us tomorrow." My daughter now turned her big blue eyes to me and made the saddest of expressions to convince me of her plan.

"Eva, Tomorrow is Monday ...Your dad would probably be too tired to cook." Ruby continued on her impossible mission of convincing Eva of the invincible.

"He wasn't that tired when he made out with Amelia or any of the nannies before ,on Mondays." Eva huffed making me shock on mere air.

"Eva, that's not nice." Ruby pointed in a stern yet calm voice , sounding so motherly for a fleeing second. Maybe all girls just have that instinct ?

"Sorry" Eva mumbled her apology crossing her hands angrily and I knew my daughter way to well to say that this is over. She is probably just creating some kind of evil plan to get Ruby to dine with us. I need some kind of solution to break the ice.

"Ruby, will you join us tomorrow night for pizza?" I asked clearing my throat and the woman's facial expression were struck shocked. Is it so hard to accept the fact that I just invited her to my home and that I am gonna be making her pizza tomorrow? Even to my own mind, this sound so unSin like.

"Yey , now dad approves so you cannot deny! Thank you so much, daddy" Eva who was sitting between us jumped of joy and threw herself on me giving me the tightest of hugs. How is Ruby's presence this affectant in my little girl's life? How can a simple dinner with our neighbor can make her all jumpy and happy while a trip to Disney, all of her toys, laptop, tablettes and iPhone meant nothing to her ?

"Okay." Ruby hushed her approval even though I sensed her masked discomfort.

"Seven, is that okay with you?" I tried to ease by assuring her that I am fine with the invite.

"Yeah and thank you for having me." She replied smiling sweetly at me and my fucked up brain thought that I could have her on more than one way but with such an innocent soul I couldn't say that out loud, not to her or to Eva. I am a man of sex and parties clearly though Ruby isn't such a girl: she had a fiancé and wanted a family. She is Eva's favorite person clearly and any wrong move would be getting hell.

After the dinner agreement, Eva kept on planning her tomorrow night with Ruby. It was funny seeing my little girl so happy and excited about showing Teddy her guinea pig to Ruby. She also planned to watch the first Harry Potter movie because Ruby mentioned to her being her favorite. Seeing the clock hitting eight, I excused both , me and Eva , to our house. I needed to give her some dinner and get her to bed early because it is a school day: tomorrow.

Ruby walked us to the door, thanking us again for joining her and for dinner. I , though, wished to be the one thanking her. Dealing with Eva was never this easy. Since I pleased her by inviting Ruby , Eva basically did everything perfectly and on her own. She got home changed to her pajamas, eat all of her dinner even the Brussel sprouts and then brushed her teeth, combed her hair and kissed me goodnight before shutting her lights and falling asleep. I had to check on her four times to make sure that she is asleep. That mere routine of getting her to bed used to take me up to two hours but her she sound asleep in one hour only...Is Ruby a witch or goddess with unspeakable powers?

Following Eva's lead, I went to bed early that night knowing that tomorrow will be busy. I will have to throw Brad out if he tries to distract me with his insane stories and I probably should pack some lunch so I can leave my office early to go shopping for the needed pizza ingredients. It is been a long time since I last had a guest here. It is always been Eva, I, Brad and some babysitter. Making a mental list, I even decided to clean a little before Ruby gets here ...What is this woman doing to us?

I fell asleep questioning Ruby's effects on us and woke up to the intruding sun light. I grumbled because the night went by too fast but today I didn't have time to lose. I should get to the office as early as possible. Willing myself, I dragged myself out of bed, showered and made some coffee. I , then , decided on checking the mail and as I walked out the same figure from last night met me by the mail boxes...How didn't I notice her existence before.

"Morning" I greeted the pajama clad Ruby.

This time, she wore a simple red satin set. It was long sleeved and had pants for bottoms but still hugged her curves greatly and I was left checking her out again. Did she pick such satiny , revealing nightgowns for her fiancé or is it her own taste ?

"Good morning" she replied with a polite smile and I was left once again amazed at how me checking her out didn't annoy or affect her at all.

Turning away to go back home though with my collected mail, I heard her calling for me. While I just wanted to get away from her , I was rooted at my spot wanting to know if she exactly knew what I had in mind.

"hey, Mr. Grey." She called again and I hated how that sounded , so formal and cold.

"Sin." I corrected turning around to face her.

"Sin" once again her saying such simple word made me smirk. " I know that you are probably not that excited about dinner so I can just say that I got sick and stay home. Eva doesn't have to know and she would still appreciate your efforts." Ruby offered and it amazed me how selfless she could be. She is working on the betterment of my relation with Eva and not on stealing my daughter away from me.

"Who said that I am not excited for dinner?" I playfully asked making her eyes double in size. Beforehand, our interactions were all serious and formal so I could totally understand her reaction.

"Excuse me?" Ruby puzzled clearly baffled.

"You are excused for now but be here by seven." I continued then left without allowing her any chance to disagree. This should be fun.
