PoV: Fleetaway"Grr... Ee-ay!" Sonic was biting my ear and growling.
"Can't you learn how to sleep in?" I pulled him down.
"Aa..." he was hungry again.
"You're so fucking needy," I got up and he started clinging to me, "Damn it, I don't want to carry you right now." He started whining, "Fine!"
I stuck him in the back pack and went through my morning routine. I was brushing my teeth.
"Aa~" he called for food, but he was looking at my toothbrush.
"This isn't food," I said as I spit the toothpaste out. He huffed and growled at me, "Here," I handed him a spare toothbrush I had and got it damp with water. He happily started chewing on the bristles, "Actually... when was the last time anyone brushed your teeth?"
I took off the bag and grabbed the brush, "Hold still."
I forced Sonic's mouth open and began brushing the plaque off his teeth. I used a flossing pick on him as well. It wasn't as bad as I expected for six years. I gave him breakfast after he called my name. It was starting to become our routine...
I fed him, pet him, carried him... he even started waking me up...
"What am I doing?" I sighed as Sonic started asking to get on the couch again with his puppy dog whine. He needed attention, and no one who bought him would be able to give that to him.
"You know no one will buy a needy, spoiled, hedgehog like you," I looked at him as he chewed on the spoon. He brought that dumb thing with him anywhere. I wonder how he'd react to me taking it from him.
I grabbed the spoon and Sonic refused to drop it.
"Let it go," I ordered.
He just pulled against me until I got it free. Sonic growled and barked at me.
"I didn't think you'd get pissed off," I wanted to laugh, he wasn't all to threatening since I had been keeping his nails extremely short. He barked again and tried to climb onto my lap to get it, "No, down. You have to speak I'd you want the fucking spoon."
".... ee-ay!" He snapped.
"Spoon," I said, "You have to say spoon."
"...ay!" He growled my name again.
"Spoon."
"... oo... oon..." he hated saying new words but it was the only way to get him to practice talking.
"Good boy," I gave him the spoon back and his tail started wagging. The spoon was covered in bite marks and was chewed up horribly, "Hm," I watched him chew on the spoon with a happy growl, "Maybe training you won't be so hard. I do need to spoil you less. After all, no one will want you if you're a spoiled brat."
"Ah~" he bit the spoon and followed me to the kitchen as I looked in the fridge.
"Now then, I just have to figure out how else to train you."
