Later that night Zaine found himself at his mother's house instead of Leena's party the family had invited him to. It had been weeks since he'd stopped by his mother's house and days since he'd talked to her. He let himself inside with the key he had to her house that she'd given him and found her sound asleep. She'd fallen asleep with her glasses on and a book in her hand. A small smile formed on his face as he carefully took her glasses off but that woke her up. Seeing that it was him she sat up.

"You feel better baby?" She asked.

Any time he went this long without talking to her or stopping by to see her she knew that something was bothering him. She didn't try to force him to come by because she knew that when he was ready to talk he'd stop by. Here he was tonight ready to finally sit down and get some things off of his heart and get some answers about his father and why his mother had put up with him cheating.

"So you were waiting for me?" Zaine chuckled walking around the couch taking a seat beside her. He slumped down as he rested his head back against the couch folding his arms across his chest.

"And you better know it." His mother Marian said. "I felt it in my heart that you'd drop in today. I didn't know what time but I just knew. What's been bothering you my sweet son?" She gently caressed his forehead. Though he had his flaws he was still her son and she loved and cherished him. He was her only child in fact. Her miracle boy she called him. She'd tried getting pregnant for years and years with no success and she eventually stopped trying. It was if when she'd stopped that it finally happened for her. She'd gotten pregnant with him and gave him the name Zaine which meant "God is gracious".

"I think sweet is the last thing you should be calling me ma. I did it again."

"Who's the girl this time?" Marian exhaled knowing what he meant.
