9:Jeffrey:True Hero

Zach watched the man walk away, and I watched Zach. He was covered in blood, and he was… smiling.

I was the only Conduit here.

He was a bio-terrorist. He truly was, even though I hate that name.

I began to walk away, and Zach put a bloodied hand on my white jacket. “Where are you going? We’ve still got stuff to do!”

I shrugged his hand off, looking at him. “You just… KILLED them. We need them NOT fearing us, man!! We said no killing!”
Zach started to get mad. “I’m doing what I have to to protect US!”

I clenched my fists. “...I can’t let you leave here without you learning a lesson.” I said, and blasted Zach with a pulse of paper doves.

Zach flew back, stunned, and fired a ray of red energy at me. I tried my best to jump out of the way - agility has never been my strong suit - and I successfully avoided the blast. Zach then fired again, and this time I wasn’t as lucky, and Zach grazed my leg. As I hid behind cover, I felt the rage inside me build -

I ignored it completely, aiming not to kill him, but cause his fast healing to fail enough to knock him unconscious. Zach kept summoning demons, I kept firing origami dragons, two hours passed before suddenly a small gathering of ripped paper came out of my hand. Desperate, I ran to our jeep, and pulled out my metal bat. This is the perfect melee weapon, I thought to myself as I ran at Zach, who summoned two small, red swords. I heaved the bat down oh his head, and a loud crack was heard. I then slammed the bat into his stomach, then his arm. Zach screamed loudly in rage, and slashed at my arm. Blood bursted from my left arm, and then my cheek, and I screamed, collapsing on one knee.

Zach held my hair in his hand, and cocked my head to face him.

“You CAN’T beat me, Jeffrey. You know you can’t, yet I won’t make you pay for crossing me.”
His eyes suddenly lost their rage, and Zach let go.

And I blacked out, thinking to myself, “Well, shit…”

================================

Zach was the first thing I saw when I regained consciousness. I ached all over, and as I sat up, I realised I was bruised, yet I knew it would heal.

Zach continued to set embers into the fire, and tilted his head. “So I was right…” he said, looking at his hands.
I sighed. “What are you talking about?”
He shrugged. “I’ve got two powers.” He said, Ash radiating from his arms.
I opened my eyes wider, and held my hand to a large boulder I was near, and shards of stones went into my arm, fueling me with Masonry powers. I grinned, and chuckled.

Then I remembered what happened before. I looked at Zach expectantly, and he sighed. “I don’t know what came over me,” he lied.

Yeah, real original, Zach. I can see through your lies, friend. I’ll be keeping an eye on you, I thought to myself as we ate ramen silently.

10: Zach: Bio-Terrorist

I feel better than I ever had, I’ve been avoiding playing on my computer, or even using my phone much, that power that I should probably give name to is too powerful, I feel invincible when I use it, hell, I’m basically invincible when I use it. Being able to go invisible is a huge advantage when fighting.

And that sword, it was red when I used it, before it was blue, I wonder what changed, has it something to do with my intentions? I didn’t intend for any of those men to live, I used most of my energy in that battle, I couldn’t fight that last guy. I had no more energy, but when Jeff fought me, it unlocked something inside of me, another dwelling of power.
