Melinda broke up with me after she found out, and I respected her decision. Despite the pain I know I would feel from the loss, I had to stay strong for my own sake. I watched as she left, and looked over to General Thomas, who was flying away.

I silently stalked him, turning into a large bird and flying after him while keeping distance as to not draw attention from the silent angels. They carried him all the way to his apartment, where they would lay him down in his bed, and where I would sneak in and take his hand.

He looked at me, and smiled. "You want my power?" He said to me, gripping my arm. Concrete flowed through my arm, and I screamed in pain, feeling shrapnel shove themselves into my arm, absorbing into my body.

Everything went black, and there was no vision. We both knew each other's story. Me, the kid from littleton who was about to try and save the city from his own friend. And him?

A traitor to the D.U.P, for giving him a sample of his power.

I woke up on the streets, the concrete absorbing into my body, healing any wounds I supposedly had.
I groaned, and stood up while cracking my back, several loud pops releasing from my back. I looked at the height I dropped... About several floors I dropped, causing several bones to break. I adjusted my white jacket, straightening my blue t-shirt, and put my earbuds, walking back home. As I walked, people ran away in the other direction.

I stopped when I saw the demon.

A giant, demonic figure with a man at it's center punched Zach's ragdoll body into the wall, and he groaned. I ran over, helping him up. "Get up, man..." I whispered softly to him, and Zach nodded, regaining balance. Whatever this thing was, it was tough, and Zach and I were gonna have to take it out together. We were the only other Conduits strong enough to fight this ten foot beast of a glitch.

It looked down at us, and let out a deep laugh, shaking the rubble around us. "Foolish mortals, you believe that you could beat me? Truly foolish... now you-"

Zach rolled his eyes, holding his head in frustration. "Evan, quit the act. I know it's you, so stop with the shit!"
The demon raised a fist, and brought it down hard onto our heads. I threw up a concrete wall, trying my best to protect us. It worked, the wall not even crack slightly. How were my powers that strong? I didn't have time to answer, or find out, as a hand began to reach for me. Zach turned into a thin line of ash, and sliced the hand clean off, growling at me while saying, "This is MY fight, stay out of it!"

"Like hell I will, you need all the help you can get!" I called to him, running out from behind my cover, and began to fire shrapnel from my hand. The sudden recoil surprised me, and I paused, looking at my hand, Where did all of this power come from? I was... Stronger, I felt invincible!

I charged at the demon, Zach firing from a rooftop, and I began to surround myself with this newfound Rock power, using as much force as I could. This newfound boost of power knocked the conduit back, and he fell to one knee. I raised my bat, coating it with stone, and began to hack and bash the demon conduit's leg. The conduit, apparently named Evan, began to loose focus, the demon body surrounding him fading away. This caused Evan to plummet from where he stood, causing him to scream. It was then I noticed the D.U.P armor surrounding the man, and I stood back, watching him fall for a few moments before using thrusters in my legs to throw myself into the air, catching Evan.

He looked at me with a shocked expression, and pointed at my face. "Y-you're the-"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm the good guy."
"If you're so good, then why help-"
