When William returned, Jaxon was waiting for him to lash out at him. He was waiting and preparing himself for William to take all his anger out on him, but this didn't happen. He was relatively happy when he returned home and even after a few days when Jaxon assumed Rachel would tell him about Mariana, he remained content much to Jaxon's confusion. He was so sure Rachel would tell him and now he was completely unsure if she did.
Stephanie was also rather confused at his behaviour. When Jaxon told her about bumping into Rachel in town, she was almost certain that William would find out. She was also scared of how he would react when he returned home as he was never shy of taking his anger out on her, leaving her with more than a few bruises. He returned home with gifts for her and greeted her with a hug telling her that he missed her. Stephanie was naive and broken enough to believe him. Jaxon had never trusted him and now that he was acting like a good man, he didn't trust him even more. He kept the fact that he had gotten a rather large tattoo a secret for now just because Wiliam was happy and wasn't giving him any grief. Telling him about the tattoo would certainly bring back his anger in an instant. This also meant hiding his tattoo from Josh as he loved to get Jaxon into trouble.
Although, this happy attitude that he had returned with had worked in Jaxon's favour. He didn't seem to be breathing down his neck and watching his every move meaning going Downtown and getting back home without getting caught became easy. Mariana was thrilled when Jaxon came to visit her more but was also feeling slightly worried about William's new behaviour, just like Jaxon was. This was the least of her worries though as the days were going by quickly and her fathers' wedding was gaining on them all.
On the day of the wedding, Jaxon was relatively excited. He had never been to a wedding before and he couldn't imagine he would ever go to one where he could see just how much the bride and groom love each other. Although this time it was groom and groom. He could only hope that he would be this happy on his own wedding day and the only way he would ever be this happy at his wedding was if he saw Mariana walking up the aisle rather than someone his father has picked for him to marry.
Jaxon had stayed with Mariana the night before the wedding, making sure Stephanie had made up some excuse to tell William, so he wasn't asking questions about his absence at home. Jaxon could only hope that Stephanie wouldn't crack and tell him where he really was. She knew about the wedding as Mariana had chosen to be honest with her when she stayed. Jaxon hoped they could trust her to keep it a secret as if she cracked and told William, there would be serious consequences for absolutely everyone involved, and Jaxon would never trust her again. William would probably beat Stephanie, arrest Leo and Sam, cause a riot downtown, be extremely harsh to Mariana and then Jaxon would be expecting a good punch or two as well.
In the morning of the wedding, Mariana and Jaxon lay in her bed listening to the racket that was going on downstairs. This wasn't like a traditional wedding where they weren't allowed to see each other before the wedding. They were downstairs arguing away making Mariana and Jaxon laugh at how ridiculous they both sounded, still fighting over the ice sculpture they had ordered.
"We should probably get up and start getting ready" Mariana said as she stretched her arms up "I should probably calm those two down as well before they kill each other"
"We should," Jaxon said "I'm wearing the outfit you bought me"
"And I'm wearing the dress you bought me," Mariana said "You're going to look handsome"
"And you're going to look beautiful" Jaxon smiled
"We'll make quite the couple," Mariana said "I'm going for a shower, please make sure they aren't killing each other"
"I'll do my best," Jaxon said jumping out of bed and putting something on his bottom half to at least look a little appropriate as he had no idea who was downstairs with Leo and Sam
