Amanda's POV~
"No more foolishness, darling!" My mother scolded me.
"Mother, I believe what Nick said. It's impossible for me to not!" I argued. my mother signed a long sigh, "I have forgiven you for the Madi thing, but mother I'm just so unhappy. No memories of anything. Its awful."
"Mom, I want you to meet my new friend, Jack!" Nate said, pointing to Jack.
"Nice to meet you, Jack," my mother said, shaking Jack's hand.
"The pleasure is mine," Jack smiled.
"Mom, I got invited to a Christmas party tomorrow and I was wondering if I could go and I can bring a plus one, which would be Jack." Nate asked.
"Sure honey, who invited you?"
"Cole," Nate replied.
My mother nodded and went to the kitchen for a snack.
I headed to my room and turned on my TV. I flipped through the channels until I came across this one channel that I have never seen and its a show titled The 100th Annual Hunger Games.
I decided to keep it on that channel.
"Now Emily Taylor is in an underwater cave. Woah! She has just blacked out in the cave! And now Callie Reed has just appeared next to her! Will there be another cannon shot soon? Find out after the break!" the announcer says.
I gasp, wanting to watch more. I stay in my same position, staring at the TV.
Finally, after a few minutes, the show comes back on but it doesn't mention Emily Taylor anymore, it mentions some hunter named Hunter who is determined to not die.
I turned off the TV, hoping Emily Taylor hasn't died.
I research the Hunger Games, being very curious.
The Hunger Games is a game where people kill eachother. Two girls and two boys from each district gets chosen for it and they have to play. Last person alive wins.
Two words. That. Crazy.

So my friend Element_thalia is doing a Hunger Games book and we are planning for our characters to meet and stuff.
Sorry this was a short chapter, I was writing while watching A Christmas Carol with Element_thalia in SF.
So this is going to be fun having Amanda and Emily meet.
