Amanda's POV~
I blinked harder this time, trying to understand more.
Everything came pouring in. I remember everything. And by everything, I mean everything. Everything.
The box inside of me finally opened.
"Yes, Amanda?" Madi replied bluntly.
"Aren't you dead?" I reluctantly asked.
Madi sucked in a breath of air.
"No. I almost was. I was in a coma, but when I woke up, I fled. I met some people along the way that took me in. My real brother, well, he thinks I'm dead and he hates you...." Madi admitted.
"So pretty much, you fled because you were scared?" I wondered.
She looked at me half-heartedly.
What was happening. I feel so different. Just weird.
To be honest, I was in complete and utter awe.
"Why?" I finally was able to speak again.
Madi started to talk when all of a sudden, Madi's face went blurry, everything went dark and I could hear familiar voices.
"Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep."
I blink open my eyes and adjust them to the burning light pouring into a plain, beige room with many electronics.
I jerk my body up and look around, seeing familiar, yet not so familiar, faces.
"Madi?" I ask softly, confused about the previous events that had just occurred.
Everyone was silent and they gave each other sad looks.
"Amanda. She died in the accident." Nate finally spoke up.
"But we were just talking before I blacked out!" I screamed. "The accident was a long time ago! After the accident I lost my memory and got kidnapped and-"
"Mandy. Are you okay?" Nate asked me with a disgusted look on his face.
"Of course I'm okay!! Did you lose your memory?! How come you don't remember any of those things?!" I yelled.
"Amanda. You've been out a long time, almost a year now. You should get your rest." My mom said quietly.
"I was only out for a few days, mother!!" I argued.
"Honey! You've been out for a year!" My mother softly replied.
What? Was all the stuff that happened after the accident and to now just a dream?! No, impossible!
It felt real, it looked real.
It wasn't real.
Those things didn't really happen... I-It was just a dream...
My life is a lie.
