Memory Lane - Chapter 19

Amanda's POV~

My eyes flutter open and I feel shooting pains in my right leg and left arm.

I don't know where I am or what happened, all I know is that I shouldn't be here. I try to get up from the chair I'm in until I realize I'm tied to it.

I look around, barely able to see because it is so dark, and all I can make out is broken glass on the floor, a fridge, a table, and a dark human-like figure in the corner of the room.

I start to panic as I see the dark figure moving closer and closer to me.

Out of nowhere, I scream a deafening scream.

Nate's POV~

I've always known that Madi's brother, Harry, wants revenge on Amanda. It's obvious, but I never wanted to point that out to Amanda because it could scare her.

That's why I have been wanting to go to Harry's house and talking to him nicely and apologizing.

I even memorized what I was going to say to him. I memorized it when I was laying in my bed, unable to sleep at nights.

Harry. I know you must be upset about Madi.

I also know that you may be mad at my sister, Amanda, and I wanted for you to know that it wasn't Amanda's fault that Madi died.

To be honest, the accident wasn't anybody's fault.

And my whole family sends our regards and cares for your family.

We are truly sorry and I'm also sorry that Amanda couldn't come to say this herself.

I wanted you to get a completely honest apology, and Amanda can't give that, due to her not even remembering the accident.

We are so sorry for your loss and we hope we can make it up to you somehow, someday.

I pull up to the address I found that Harry lives at and I see a rusty, small house. There are smashed windows and the woods are surrounding the house.

But one thing that scares me is when I hear a girl's scream.

What the heck am I getting myself into?
