======================

Nate's POV~

"Okay. Okay. Thanks." I say to the police officer on the phone.

I hang up and fall to my knees, "Not again."

"Honey, what's wrong?" My mom asks while walking into the room.

"It's Amanda. She got into an accident and is underwater..." I say slowly.

Mother bites her lip and slowly nods, "Get in the car." She demands.

I slowly stand up and follow my mom to her car and she speeds off. A few minutes later, we arrive at Shasta Bridge and mother gets out of her car to watch them try to save her.

We hear police talking and none of them are volunteering to go underwater.

I quickly have an idea and I walk closer to the ledge of the bridge. I look down and see a bit of Amanda's car sticking out of the water.

I feel confident and I jump off the bridge to go and save my sister.

I hit the surface hard and go under, feeling the stinging sensation of my eyes opening underwater.

I can see blurry and I see a blurred vision of a car and I swim to it. I open the door and I try to unbuckle Amanda's seatbelt.

I look up at Amanda's motionless body. Oh, how much it reminds me of the accident. I shake the thought out of my head, almost out of water.

I swim up to the surface of the water and gasp for air. I see all the worried faces on the bridge and I dive back down to the car.

I take my pocketknife out of my pocket and cut at the seatbelt for a few minutes.

I go up to the surface again then back down. I finally get her seatbelt cut and I pick up her limp body and swim in to the surface.

I gasp for air and swim to land, putting Amanda's body on the land and giving her CPR until firefighters come and take over.

They feel her pulse and carry her to the ambulance and they drive away with her body in the back.

I stand there for who knows how long. I just stare at the water in front of me.

I run up to the bridge and hop in my mom's car and drive to the hospital.

Amanda's POV~

I jerk my upper body up and gasp for air.

I look around the room to discover that I'm alone.

The doorknob to the hospital door slowly turns and it comes to a full open and I come face to face with some blonde girl who I oddly recognize.

"Madi?"
