Big Red was finally about to answer some questions concerning Jessica and Ricky's 'relationship' when EJ, Ricky, and Jessica came running up to us.
"Who's ready to head home?" EJ asked. I checked my phone and we've been here for a couple of hours. I felt like we'd barely done anything while at the same time feeling exhausted.
"Sure, which way is fastest to the exit?" Red asked. I was kinda disappointed our conversation had to end. I wanted to get some things cleared up, but today is not the time.
"Can I come to your house later?" Jessica asked Ricky. He looked between EJ and Big Red.
"Sorry, I planned on having a guys' night tonight. Maybe some other time." I was confused by his answer. When we were together, Ricky would take every chance he got to be with me. But, today, he didn't seem like himself.
"No worries, babe." She kissed his cheek and looked annoyed. Like, girl, he's allowed to have a life outside of you.
"I'll walk you to your car," Ricky said, being the gentleman he is. "EJ, Red, meet me at my house," he said, then walked away.
"Ok, Red, I want answers," Gina said confidently.
"Ok, ok, calm down," Big Red said, putting his hands up in defense.
"Answers about what?" EJ asked. I ignored him, we needed Big Red to speak up.
"I'm telling them what Ricky said at the trash can," he answered EJ.
"Is it our place to say though?" EJ said with care in his voice.
"No, but I'm worried about this 'relationship' he has with Jessica. Aren't you?" Big Red asks looking at EJ. I really want this conversation to speed up, so I can go home and just sit in my never-ending loop of confusion.
"You're right, just say it," EJ said, putting all of our attention back on Big Red.
"Ok, he said he started dating Jessica over a month ago. But, while saying it, he looked ashamed. I'm guessing it's because it was so soon after, you know," he said nodding at me. I was going to absolutely lose it. First, he dumps me then, gets a new 'girlfriend' in a matter of minutes!?
"Nini, you ok?" Kourtney asks, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah, let's just uh, head back to your car," I said quickly walking away.
Ricky
Who wants to bet Nini hates my guts right now? Me.
I'm walking Jessica back to her car. I'm glad she drove herself here, I don't know what I would've done in the thirty-minute car ride home.
"I had a great time today," I said while trying to keep a smile on my face.
"Me too. Can you remind me what your friends' names are?" She asked. I looked at her for a second, confused.
"Uh, sure, why?"
"Because I didn't have the best introduction."
"Ok, well, you already know Big Red. EJ was the one I went on the ride with. Carlos had glasses on. Seb has blond hair. Ashlyn..." she cut me off.
"The girl with the long hair?" She was talking about Nini.
"Nini?" I answer hoping that's where it ends, even though I know it won't.
