I Thought I'd Never See You Again

"Bye Dad" Colby heard a young voice yell as Izzy came running into the room dragging a blonde girl behind her.

Izzy ran to Colby giving him a big hug the second the two collided. "Hi dad. Did you miss me." Izzy laughed kissing Colby's cheek.

"Of course I did" Colby laughed picking the girl up so she was now sitting on his lap. He then noticed a blonde girl standing shyly in the corner. "would you like to introduce me to your friend?" He laughed looking at the girl.

"Oh ya! Dad this is My Bestest Friend In The Whole Wide World! Her names Alison but I call her Ali!" The little girl laughed as she pointed to her friend. "And Ali this is my dad!" She smiled leaning against her fathers chest.

The shy blonde girl smiled lightly and mumbled a quiet "Nice to meet you mister" That Colby could hardly hear. But he smiled kindly at the girl.

That's when Sadie walked back into the room "Why don't you girls go play upstairs for a bit." At that Izzy jumped off Colby's lap and grabbed Ali pulling her upstairs. This left the two adults laughing at the children's antics.

"Arn't they adorable." Sadie smiled taking a seat next to Colby.

"Yeah cute!" Colby responded. But he couldn't get the thought out of his head that Alison seemed familiar. Maybe it was the blonde hair no. But her recognized those blue eyes. He just couldn't place it.

"Your dad has funny hair!" Alison laughed jumping onto her best friends bed. "It's just like my Uncle Jakey!"

Isabella laughed along "Yeah, mom says it's been like that since she met him."

"Sooooooo, what ya wanna dooooo!" Ali laughed dragging out her o's.

Isabella looked in thought for a while before her eyes went wide. She had a splendid idea. "We should watch some of our dad's old videos."

"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah." Alison laughed jumping up and down on Isabella's bed. Izzy laughed along jumping off her bed and grabbing her laptop. The two girls laid side by side and Izzy opened up YouTube.

"Who first?" Izzy questioned her blonde friend.

"um... yours" Ali smiled gabbing the computer and beginning to type.

Once the page had loaded the girls clicked on the channel

Then on videos

"oh, set the order of appearance from oldest to newest" Izzy laughed pointing at the screen.

"I touched Bignik's nipple" the two girls looked at each other and cringed. "ewwww"

"click on it" Izzy smirked moving the mouse to hover over the video they had discovered. So Ali clicked on it.

 Colby walked into the room and sat down facing the camera. "What's up!" he says waving. "Trust me this is probably as weird for me as it is for you. This is like one of the first times I've ever been on camera without Sam and ya-"

Ali quickly paused it "Who's Sam?" She asked looking to Izzy for an answer.

"I don't know?" Isabella shrugged "Just keep watching" she insisted clicking play on the video.

"It's going to be hard to get used to." Colby explained to the camera. "But talking about that for a second. um... basically why Sam and I decided to do personal channels was because we just wanted to express ourselves individually. While we could express ourselves as a duo as well. it's just more content fo-"

"This is boring" Izzy complained stoping the video once more.

"But I wanna find out who Sam is." Alison pouted.

"Look in the description." Izzy shrugged "Maybe theirs a link."

Ali sighed and scrolled down skimming through the description mumbling a bit "uh, published... 2016... love you forever... free trial?... New videos every week... Other people in video" As the names below appeared Ali let out a surprised gasp.

"What?" Izzy jumped looking at the screen too. "Wait... does that say"

They both were speechless all they could stare at were the words-

Sam Golbach

"That... That's my dad!" Ali looked at Izzy confused.

"They know each other?" Izzy asked no one in particular. "Do you recognize any of the other names?"

Ali scrolled down on the screen to revel the other names. "Yeah my Uncle's Corey and Elton." she looked at the other names for a bit "I don't really recognize the others."

"oh..." Izzy began before she realized something. "wait my dad said duo earlier. As in like duo channel? Like Kian and JC?"

"maybe?" Ali said scrunching her eyebrows in thought. "But what would they call it?"

"Try searching Colby and Sam!" Izzy smiled hoping something would come up. So that's what Ali did she typed in 'Colby and Sam'. Once the screen loaded the first thing to appear was a channel by the name of 'Sam and Colby'.

"That sounds weird" Ali laughed "It should be Colby and Sam."

"Agreed" Izzy laughed.

The two girls scrolled through the channel seeing pictures of both their dad's as well as some other people mostly Alison's Uncles Jake and Corey and sometimes Elton. "There all from at least ten years ago." Ali noticed. "We should look at the most recent one."

So Ali found the video titled 'Goodbye For Now' which was posted before either of the girls were born. Then she clicked play and her father Sam appeared on screen. "What's up guys its... Sam." He paused for a bit. "Now I know many of you have noticed the fact we haven't posted on this channel in a couple months. That and Colby and I haven't been in any of each others videos on our individual channels in a long time." 

The video cut and Colby's face appeared replacing Sam's. "Hey guys it's Colby." He smiled waving at the camera. "I just wanted to inform you all that from this point forward" Sam's face joined Colby's on the screen side by side in different locations. Together they spoke "Sam and Colby is over" 

Now it was just Sam. "No this does not mean I'm quitting Youtube. I will still post every week on my own channel." Sam explained to the camera "But this channel will be dead.

Once again Colby appeared as Sam vanished "The reason behind this is a long story which will hopefully be explained another day but basically I'm leaving California." Colby informed the viewers. "I don't know when or if I will come back but right now I need to get away from some things. So I've decided to move to Chicago. But don't worry I'll still post on my own channel"

Then Sam joined him again in a split screen "Goodbye for now" they said together before Both their hands covered the camera lens and the screen went blank.

"I'm so confused" Ali said staring in shock at the video her and Izzy had just watched.

"Our dad's had a Youtube channel together. What happened?" Izzy realized with wide eyes. "I have an idea" She smirked. Alison looked at Isabella confused and Izzy explained everything.
