"Come on Izzy we're going to be late if you don't hurry up baby." Colby called to his daughter from inside his car.

"She coming down the stairs now" Liam called out as the little brunette came racing out the door wearing pink tights, a pink body suit, and pink tutu with her hair in a poorly made bun. She was also wearing bright yellow rubber boots to complete the ensemble.

Izzy quickly climbed into the car next to Colby doing up her seatbelt and Colby mumbled a quick "Conner couldn't have done a better job on your hair" at that comment Izzy giggled and Colby rolled his eyes putting the car in drive and pulling out of the driveway to head to Izzy's dance class.

"Don't worry dad. Mom will fix it when we get there." Izzy giggled

"God I hope so." Colby smirked turning the radio on so they could listen to some music on the way.

The second music started coming out of the speakers Izzy's eyes went wide. "Dad, turn that shit off!" She yelled.

This statement from his daughter made Colby's heart skip a beat. He hand never heard the girl swear before.

"Isabella Colleen Brock" Colby gasped pulling the car over to the side of the road. "Where the hell did you learn that language from."

Izzy became nervous because her father was defiantly mad since he hated her middle name so he would only use it if he was absolutely angry with her. "I-I-I Uncle Alex and Uncle Tristan got in a fight and Uncle Tristan called Uncle Alex a little piece of shit!" Izzy exhaled all in one breath.

"Oh," Colby breathed trying to calm himself down while making a promise to kick Alex and Tristans Asses when he gets home. "Now, tell me doll what is so bad about this song?" Colby laughed finally having a clear head as he pulled back onto the road and turned the radio back on.

That's when Colby recognized the voice. It was someone he had been trying to block out for a long time.

"It's Katrina Stuart, Ali's dad says her music is bad and we shouldn't listen to it. I don't think he like her very much." Izzy explained to her father as she stared in confusion at his pale expression. "Are you okay Dad?"

"Oh, uh yeah! I'm good baby I just." Colby sighed taking in a breath. "I knew her before, before she hit the top charts."

"Really!" Izzy got excited thinking her dad knew someone famous even if she did hate their music.

"Ya" Colby laughed to himself "She used to date my best- I mean she dated one of my old roommates." Colby panicked slightly not wanting to bring up that part of his life in front of Izzy.

She obviously wasn't paying much attention since she squealed "Look Dad were here!"

"Oh Sadie thank god your were able to fix the mess of a hairdo Conner put on her heard." Colby sighed pulling Sadie into a hug.

"After a few years it just kinda comes naturally Colby." Sadie laughed as she pulled Colby behind her and introduced him the the other dance moms.

Once Colby got to know the moms now known as Angel, Kailey, Brynn, and Madison The women immediately started gossiping as he tuned them out and watched as the teacher Miss Sara instructed his daughter and some other girls.

Their gossip went a little bit like this:

"Did you hear Miss Sara's boyfriend is going to teach the girls a new routine."

"I heard he's super hot."

"Heard, He is super hot"

"The man bun just does it form me"

"I thought you were married Angel"

"I can look"

"She's got a point Corey is hot"

There was more but I think you get the point.

Now once again, Colby DID NOT hear any of this! Because if he did. He might have connected the dots.

But Colby's face when none other than Corey Scherer walked through the doors. Well I don't think anyone could describe it.

Seeing Tara and Cassie the other day was one thing but seeing Corey the guy he lived with once upon a time was different. Corey was a day one. Colby knew him back when vine was still a thing. The last time he saw Corey he promised to keep in touch. But he didn't.

------

Dance class was over and the moms where heading in to tell their girls how amazing they were even though they were't really watching. They mostly wanted to try and flirt with Corey behind Miss Sara's back.

Now Colby did not want to go in but Sadie dragged him behind her. While Izzy went to pack up her bag Colby hid behind Sadie hoping to god that Corey didn't see him but to no avail.

"Hey Sadie, how are you today." Corey greeted Sadie with a friendly handshake.

Sadie quickly responded "Oh I'm very good today how about-"

She never got to finish her sentence because Corey spotted someone behind her. "Colby?"

Colby stiffened as he came out from behind Sadie nervously waving his hand "Hey there Corey long time no see. Colby cringed waiting for the yells and screams and complaints.

But nothing ever came. That's probably because  Corey was way too shocked to even say anything.

"You two know each other?" Sadie asked excitedly.

"we used to" Colby said looking at Corey with an apologetic look.

Corey was still too shocked to say anything.

"hey babe are you okay" Miss Sara asked noticing Corey shocked state as did everyone else in the studio.

Corey was still too shocked to say anything.

"Just give him a second" Colby sighed

Corey started shaking his head with the most disappointed look "Just tell me why Colby?"

"I had no choice Corey. You wouldn't understand." Colby tired.

"Don't" Corey said staring to turn and leave until Sara said something that stoped him.

"So is this your husband, Sadie" Sara gestured to Colby.

Once again Corey was too shocked to say anything.

"Oh God no!" Sadie laughed and Colby broke out of his nervous state and laughed with her.

"Oh sorry I was just-" Sadie began until Izzy came running toward them and jumped into Colby's arms.

"Dad, dad, dad I learned how to do a pirouette today!" Izzy squealed hugging her father.

Now everyone was confused because if Colby wasn't Sadie's husband then why was Izzy calling him dad?

Sadie laughed at everyone's shocked expressions. "Colby is just my baby daddy. We used to date but decided we were better off as friends."

"You have a kid!" Corey looked at Colby.

"Yeah I do" Colby smiled looking at Izzy with nothing but love.

Once again when Colby was being reunited with his past. His phone rang.

"hey hello what's up!" Colby said answering his phone without looking at the caller id. When the person on the other side of the phone answered Colby quickly hung up. "i'd love to stay and talk but my best friend is apparently missing." Colby quickly kissed Izzy on the head before heading for the door.

"Let me know if you find Alex!" Sadie called after Colby.

Colby stoped and turned around "Sorry" Colby laughed "it's actually Tristan not Alex"

"Oh, never mind" Sadie rolled her eyes "Tristan can stay missing for all I care."

Colby laughed slightly before turning away and leaving.

"Of course he replaced us." Corey rolled his eyes until he realized something Ali and Izzy are best friends.

That cause a smirk to appear on his face.
