The town of Willow falls was quiet, quaint, and overall; very wealthy. With a population of 2,500, most of the land was taken up by large estates or another shop with the latest food fad. Everybody knew everyone and once you moved here you never left. It was a small rich utopia for the loaded and retired famous. Rumors spread as fast as a champagne cork popped and nothing or no one was kept in secret- well except for the mayor's family matters. But all-in-all it was peaceful enough that a simple bike ride through the cobblestone streets could cure any sickness or sadness.

My honey-colored hair blew in the wind as I rode in the street. Feet peddling in sync, I glided past shops, multiple museums, and buildings. The aroma of cherry trees wafted into the air just as I passed the main street of the town- Strawberry Road. And standing tall in its usual regal manner was the Mayor's Manor. It was the size of your average shopping mall, which could explain why none of his family ever left it. We had only seen the mayor before; a tall well-dressed man, fit and in his early fifties, with a chiseled jaw, icy blue eyes, and peppered grey hair.

He was a handsome man, which was logical considering everyone in our town was either Barbie or Ken. But everything was perfectly fine so nothing else mattered. I Continued on in my own bubble of happiness, not letting anything get in my way. But let's just say that my curiosity got the best of me---

As I turned my head gazing at the house, peddling on, I seemed to drift into a world of my own thoughts...

"Hey watch where you are going!" someone yelled and all of the sudden my bike came to a halt.

I whipped my head around and met a pair of eyes, a color I didn't even know existed.

It was a light soft blue, the kind that was at the top of a sunset- almost like periwinkle. They seemed to change from an on guard dark night blue to a soft violet in a matter of seconds.

Then my eyes moved to examine the rest of their face. Raven hair, a chiseled jaw, and soft pink lips- a color so sweet almost as if they had eaten a bowl of fresh raspberries.

He was the most beautiful person I had ever seen in my life.

"Ahem..." he said with a frown, and then I realized that both of his hands were gripping mine on my bike's handle bars. My hands and body were igniting.

I pulled my hands quickly off of them, my throat dry and my mouth unable to utter a single word. This of course was not very smart being that his hands and those handle bars were the only thing7 holding my balance on that bike.

"Ooomph!" I said as I toppled over onto the sidewalk , holding my scuffed knee in pain.

He began to walk away, and my bike dropped onto the hard concrete.

"Hey!" I yelled and he turned around. I pointed to my injured joint, now clouded with crimson.

"Got any band aids?" I asked with a smile.

He eyes me for a moment, a slight look of annoyance present in his face.

"Please? And, hey, maybe I can make it up to you with a slice of pie from that new cafe down the street?" I offered and he shrugged, walking back over to me, and putting his hand out. I took it and got up, dusting myself off.

"Thank you so much---"

"I prefer cherry," he said and tucked his hands in the pockets of his worn denim jeans.

I picked my bike up from the sidewalk,"Excuse me?" I asked and pushed my honey colored waves out of my face.

"Cherry pie with a glass of milk," he said and began walking away.
