I arrived back home; my cold feet feeling stark against the stone-paved driveway. The moon seemed to light up my pathway, it's shadow leading me to the front of my house. I opened the door and creeped inside, doing my very best to not get caught.

The soft light from one of Jacqueline's cinnamon candles flickered and illuminated the corridor, just enough for me to find my way back to my room.

I walked up the stairs, my hand gripping onto the mahogany railing. Once I reached the hallway, I slowly crept to my room. Opening my door, I was greeted by a gust of wind, dancing through the french doors that led to my balcony. I must of forgotten to close them. My yellow curtains were blowing softly, the moonlight hitting them and giving my room a small glow. As I stepped in, I closed my door; a click signaling it was shut. Taking off my jacket, I then hung it on a hook that was on the back of my door.

I turned on a small lamp beside my bed and then walked over to my mirror. I examined my face carefully, my eyes scanning to see if anything had changed. I held up my fingers and touched my lips, thinking back to my day spent with him. My physical appearance hadn't differed from before- but something inside of me had.

My first kiss...I had my first kiss.

My lips formed into a smile. The kiss was'nt anything special and over the top like in a movie; no flowers or candle to give off a romantic aura or feel, or doves flying in the navy blue painted sky. It was just simply- just simply it. Indescribable, new, exciting; but I can just say that it was amazing.

I walked to my dresser and pulled out a silk slip nightdress, along with clean undergarments. I shed of my bathing suit and turned on my bath tub, the warm water pouring out of the faucet.

I dipped my foot in and added some soap that had the sweet aroma of peaches. It swirled into the water, the bubbles mixing into a whirl pool of whimsy.

I stepped in it and sat, reminiscing about Julien. It was one of the nicest days I had ever spent with someone; compared to my usual routine of reading every book in the whole house and occasionally watching television.

I went under the surface of the water, holding my breath but quickly coming up,gasping for air. Pushing my hair out of my face and wiping my eyes, I stepped out of the tub and grabbed my towel. Draining the water, I got dressed and crawled into bed.

I lied awake for a while, my thoughts circling 'round and around like water to a drain.

And then I slowly fell asleep, my dreams pondering about the boy with periwinkle eyes.
