Cora: Age 19
Toya"Dabi": Age 22
At the age of eighteen, Cora graduated from prison and was moved to a separate government facility where she was kept under careful watch and forced to help police and heroes find criminals, suspects and missing persons. She rarely caught a break. Over the years the world hadn't been any kinder to her. She was constantly forced to consult on cases, the majority of the heroes and policemen she had to consult with treated her like garbage. As soon as anyone figured out who her father was, she was written off as a criminal.
She wasn't paid for her help. They kept her locked up like a common criminal. The only slight saving grace was her cell now was a small apartment that had all the necessities she needed and a small wardrobe with actual clothes instead of prison garb. They were plain boring clothes but they didn't have serial numbers stamped on them.
Over the years she looked in on Toya from time to time. Whenever she did, he would look up and wave to her. He'd changed a lot over the years. His hair was now dyed black, he'd gotten much more scarred over the years and had patches of burnt mottled flesh beneath his eyes and stretching across the lower half of his face. The harsh world had made them both crueler.
The police car she was riding in came to an abrupt halt. She focused her quirk on her location, it seemed like they'd stopped at an abandoned parking garage. Her heart started to race in her chest and anxiousness wormed through her. She'd been helping them find a suspect, they were supposed to be calling it a night and returning her to her cell(apartment).
"What are we stopping for?" Cora asked, her voice unfeeling.
From her vantage point she saw the two police officers step out of the car before converging on her door together. She tensed as her door was pulled open. A strong hand grabbed her by the arm and wrenched her from backseat.
"Shut up." The gruff man growled at her as she opened her mouth to ask them what the hell they were doing. He backhanded her with enough force her vision blurred a little. Her quirk started to slip as she began to panic.
"Let go." She hissed and brought her knee up, hitting one of her captors in the groin. The grip on her arm slackened and she blindly tried to run.
Something heavy slammed into her from behind, a heavy hand caught her by the back of the neck and she let out a cry as she was knocked to the ground. The hand pressed into the back of her neck shoving her face roughly against the gritty dirty asphalt. She felt some broken glass cut into her cheek and struggled in vain to break from her captor's hold.
"You just assaulted an officer of the law." Her captor hissed in her ear as he pressed his knee into her back. She could feel him rustling behind her and thought she heard him unbuckle his belt. Terror consumed her as she realized what they were intending to do to her.
"Get the hell off of me!" Cora snarled and struggled in vain to break from his hold. She managed to get a hand free and swung backward with all her might. She managed to hit the officer holding her down in the face. It was enough to get him stumble backward easing his knee off her spine.
She shoved off the ground and sprinted in the direction she remembered the entrance to the street. A scream escaped her as a hand encircled her neck and she was lifted off the ground. Her assailant let out a roar of rage as he slammed her back into a concrete wall. Her skull cracked against the concrete wall with enough force she thought she saw an explosion of fireworks behind her eyes.
