I slap her again. Her face whips to the side and she scrunched her nose up from pain. I get up and reach for the beanie that I had set on the chair, pulling it over my head. I was wearing nothing but black.
"I trust you not to say a word while I'm away," I say. She looks at me. "Don't fuck it up."
"C-can I eat? Please?" She asks. I look at her and smile sarcastically, reaching for the rope. "Do you want to pay for eating early?" I ask. She passes her eyes back and forth from the rope to me, shaking her head. I nod, setting the rope down.
"Don't say a fucking word until I come back. Understood?" I say. "Yes," she says quietly. She sighs and leans her head back against the wall.
"Good girl."

I park my car about a block from her house. It was pitch black and there was not even a small sign of life. Lanterns flickered and bugs flew all around them. Crickets chirped and a slight breeze blew across the trees. What a perfect night to take Jacey.
I slowly get out, closing my door quietly. I pull the beanie down on my head more, being sure I was covering as much face as I could. I was wearing a simple black sweater and black jeans. I was basically invisible at night.
I trot down the streets at a semi-fast pace. I wanted no one to even know I was there. Movement catches peoples eyes.
I stop in front of her house and squat behind some bushes. No lights were on in the house. I knew it was somewhere around 2:47 AM. The entire neighborhood was asleep.
I check my pocket for the same pistol I stole Emma with. It was there, and loaded. Just in case anything did happen.
I pull out a black face mask and wrap it around my mouth before making my way to the back. I had scoped this place out. They had a door on the back which they never really locked. Jacey's room was closest to the back, just on the right. It was going to be such a simple plan.
I crouch and check inside. Nothing. I slowly turn the knob, and quietly push it open. The door creaks and I cringe.
I step inside amd keep my eyes on the door. I was too close. This was so easy. I take a few small steps and smirk just as soon as my hand lands on her doorknob. I keep my left hand in my pocket, fingers holding onto the trigger.
"Jacey? Are you still up?"
I freeze. My eyes pop open as I shut her door loudly. Lights flicker on and the staircase creaks. I gasp and pull my gun out, pointing it to the direction of the male voice.
"I told you to go to bed," the man says angrily, slowly making his way downstairs.
I tuck the gun back into my pocket. My heart was racing and adrenaline was flowing, but I knew it wasn't worth it anymore. I swing the backdoor open and run for my life.
I make a loud crash with the door as I frantically sprint to the wooden fence in the backyard. I jump it quickly, running across peoples yards and jumping another smaller, metal fence. My heart was beating in my ear and I felt paralyzed.
I reach my car, hopping in quickly. I sit for just a minute, trying to take in what had just happened.
"Holy shit," I murmur.
I start it, driving away quickly. As I make my way back to my house, the fear and shock had washed away. Now I was furious. I was so close! So fucking close! Someone is going to fucking pay.
●
I make a confused face as I step out of my car. I heard screaming.
Help! Someone! Please!
That's when I knew it was Emma. I growl and jog back inside. I was going to fucking kill her.
I unlock the door and catch her by surprise as I pull the pistol out. I point it at her head and huff. "What the fuck did I say!" I scream. She sits still, looking down, frozen.
I was furious. "I fucking trusted you," I say. I lean down and push the tip of the pistol against her head. She gulps and starts silently crying.
"I'm fucking done with you," I say queitly. I pull the pistol back and drop it on the chair. I hear her let out a breath of relief.
I take the rope and sit in front of her. I begin pulling the rope out. I tie the ends together and make a circle just big enough for her head. I make it nice and tight, just for her discomfort.
"W-what are you doing?" She asks. Her voice was shaky. I walk to the other side of the room, swinging the noose over a peice of wood on the roof. I tie it after standing on the chair.
"No, no. Please!" She begs. She tries kicking her feet as I walk towards her. I try grabbing her arms, just to have her push away. "Please, please, please! Don't do this!"
I look into her eyes. She was shaking. The look of terror and the small will to live was burned into her eyes. I roughly grab her, cutting the tape and ties off from around her hands. She was attempting to hit me, but I held them tightly against her chest, taping her wrists back together.
Her legs were still tied. I cut everything off and stand her up. She scoots herself away, backing up against the wall. I sigh, getting up to grab her again.
"Please. I promise, it won't happen again," she says, crying softly. "I don't know what I was thinking."
"Exactly! You weren't thinking!" I yell, picking her up by her arms. She shakes and stands on the chair below the noose.
After many minutes of fighting, she eventually gave up.
She stood silently, her head in the circle. I shake my head at her. She was disgusting for disobeying me. Now she has to pay for it, and for my failed attempt to kidnap her friend. I'm sure it was somehow her fault, too.
I smile excitedly. "On the count of 3," I say. I pull my larger pocket knife out, my other hand resting on the chair. She begins to cry loudly.
"1, 2," I pull the chair from beneath her feet.
Just as fast as I could blink, she was hanging from the roof. I laugh at myself. She was shaking and squirming. I could see her chest heaving up and down for air with failure. She begins spinning.
"That's what what you fucking deserve," I mumble with a smile. She moves her eyes a little to look at me right before they close. Just 15 seconds in.
I reach up, slicing the rope quickly. She drops to the ground. Her eyes pop open and she takes a huge gasp. I reach down to tape her legs back together before slapping her face.
"When I fucking tell you to do something, you listen," I say. She takes huge breathes and nods rapidly. I drag her back to the corner.
You're the cause of all my problems, Emma.
