She was as happy as any expectant woman would be. She had been a woman longing for morning sickness, but all she had in her heart now was Thanksgiving. This was a dream that was almost impossible to achieve.

She couldn't hide her gladness as she poured out her gratitude in worship every Sunday. There however was no difference for her since she felt like every day was a Sunday. The joy, the peace, the love, it was there all through the week for her.

Adding that to her supportive husband, who was there for her always, could anyone ask for more than that? She felt fulfilled.

The days were drawing by so fast and she was happy yet dreading. Many had told her that it was a matter of life and death and true to their words she had heard of people who brought gladness to the world then escaped it.

She prayed and hoped above all doubt that she wouldn't be part of the small percentage. She prayed that she'd not only bring joy to the world but to be there to see it and push through with it.

She decided to get a glass of water as her throat was feeling a bit parched. That had been happening a lot lately but she decided to keep it to herself, after all it was nothing serious. It was just a sore throat so no big deal.

She devoured the water greedily only breathing after the glass was drained. She smiled as she rubbed her very huge belly. It was still a miracle that she was pregnant with twins and it amazed her.

She sat herself on one of the island stools which was a bit low.custom just for her to be able to sit there. God bless her husband. She did not want to think about it but sitting alone brought that thought to her mind. What if she did not make it out. What would Vins do? Would he manage it without him?

But she however realized it was vanity thinking about it as she would live to see how he would be with their babies. But deep down a nagging feeling of premonition just bit deeply into her, not letting go at all. Even when she smiled she felt it deep within. She would not make it. Even when she prayed heaven was silent about it.

Vins could see it in her eyes. She was exhausted and was loosing her sparkle. He knew being pregnant took a lot from a person but he never thought he'd see her give him a plastic smile. There was never fakeness between them. It was always real. She was keeping something from him but he did not want to pry.

He watched her as she smiled to herself where she sat in the kitchen. With the days drawing closer he wanted to be near her at all times and instinct just controlled him, told him to be there. Not just for her but for their babies sake. He now worked from home and made sure to check on her every few minutes.

He noticed a lot of things but chose to keep them to himself. He knew something was going on but he did not want to push her further than she was. He just hoped against the doom that hung in the air that it was gonna be fine, she was going to be okay.

He was sturtled by a cough. He looked up and noticed she had not seen him but was now caught up in a bout of coughs which led him closer to her. From behind her he saw her take the white handkerchief from her mouth and noticed it was stained with droplets of blood. He felt his heart clench painfully but shrugged it off.
